Post says McD signed 3 and half year deal with front page pic of McD with what appears to be a huge turd on his head.
Nothing like that on their web site.

Dare to Dr£am
That's three of the papers going with that story now! Good signs!

Just because 3 papers are running with the story does not imply 3 sources that corroborate it. They could all be using the same source (in fact, it is highly likely that they are). In that case, the story is wholly dependent on the validity of that one source - not 3 separate ones.

My hope remains high though.

As to the concerns over the TSI tale over 'stalling' or failing. I remain confident there too. In 2009/10 John Madejski was within a gnat's whisker of doing a deal with a Middle Eastern group but he never went public. I can only assume that was because he never reached a stage of confidence in the group that would allow him to do so. That he has gone public this time is a positive sign that it is close to a done deal. My guess is that the Heads of Agreement will be pretty binding on both parties; they should have contractually agreed to the sale unless there are genuine reasons why it cannot go ahead.

still not announced by the club and the source of this 3.5 year deal is likely to be Fordham therefore I am not getting my hopes up yet.

I think we all know what a weasel Fordham is ... we've all been had before by Jonny "I will take any slightest rumour from Hob Nob Anyone, and add a bit of substance on it, and this will get me a few extra column inches and get me on talk Sport and Everything" Fordham's reporting (reporting word used VERY LOOSELY).

Untill it is announced by the club I will still be concerned

My view based on catching up (sorry Prisoner) on all the stories since yesterday (including the fact McD was refused permission to talk to Wolves?) is that we will hear him commit to stay with Reading later this morning (as soggy biscuit suggested yesterday).

Wrap ally if Brian is staying I couldn't give a flying piss for what Wolves do.

Brian is allowed to ask to speak to Wolves, the club would then have to let him go talk...

I personally hope they appoint Roy Keane, and soon!

Apologies to Prisoner, Big Mike and the rest. Unlike Silver fox I didn't spot there were 20+ new pages here when I skimmed back a couple of pages looking for the links. I picked up a handfuls of stories from Google Alerts where the pages appeared to be dated 22nd and didn't spot the article datelines - sorry.

So what about that summary ?

He's going, he's definitely going, he's not going, Soggs led us down the line, Fordham is a pcunt, he's going, he's not going, Soggs is a hero, he's signed a deal. Has he?

In Summary.

Sun Says We've turned down an approach from Wolves.

Today's Reading Post is reporting Brian's agreed a new 3 1/2 year deal

Telegraph says Wolves want Brian & Hammond

Bookies still have Brian as favourite

Some are saying Fordham made the whole thing up

Still no official word from the club whatsoever

Appreciate that, however, for the last 2 days most journos have had different versions of what is going on. Now there seems to be a level on continuitity in their tales, which imo bodes well. We shall see.

Agree also with TSI but don't forget the main reason Madejski went public was because the media got wind of the takeover and they went public first.
