Apologies to Prisoner, Big Mike and the rest. Unlike Silver fox I didn't spot there were 20+ new pages here when I skimmed back a couple of pages looking for the links. I picked up a handfuls of stories from Google Alerts where the pages appeared to be dated 22nd and didn't spot the article datelines - sorry.
So what about that summary ?

Just because 3 papers are running with the story does not imply 3 sources that corroborate it. They could all be using the same source (in fact, it is highly likely that they are). In that case, the story is wholly dependent on the validity of that one source - not 3 separate ones.
My hope remains high though.
As to the concerns over the TSI tale over 'stalling' or failing. I remain confident there too. In 2009/10 John Madejski was within a gnat's whisker of doing a deal with a Middle Eastern group but he never went public. I can only assume that was because he never reached a stage of confidence in the group that would allow him to do so. That he has gone public this time is a positive sign that it is close to a done deal. My guess is that the Heads of Agreement will be pretty binding on both parties; they should have contractually agreed to the sale unless there are genuine reasons why it cannot go ahead.
