That pic stopped being funny YEARS ago. its utterly boring when it appears every time wolves are mentioned.

Our play-off record is actually worse than theirs now so it would probably be more appropriate for us to fly when we lose this years play-offs.

off the webchat, what really happened (according to Jonny fordham)

Sure - on Monday we were told McDermott was going to Wolves, later it transpired he had met with Madejski etc who were keen to keep him after the approach. Yesterday McDermott was offered a new 3 1/2 year deal on much improved terms to stay at Reading and shun Wolves.

Would you like to be directed to the point that you've so clearly missed?

Personally I like seeing the picture and I think you are missing the point massively here.

I will explain it for you.

It is funny because they pride themselves on their magnificant support, however, this loyal fan has gone to a play off semi-final with a banner with that message that he must have prepared before the match and brought in with him on the off-chance the result didn't go their way.

It is therefore pre-meditated negativity and has gone to the match with this mindset, which I would say is the absolute opposite of providing support to your team.

Norfolk Royal Although it would have been very simple at any stage for McDermott to make a public statement saying he was staying at Reading.

The silence from both McDermott and RFC almost certainly means there's some negotiating still to be done. Whether that means he's allowed to see what Wolves have to offer as well as consider his new offer from us I have no idea.

The whole affair leaves a bit of a bad taste for me. I don't expect McDermott to be here forever or not have ambitions to better himself but after a lot of the rhetoric from him about the fans and the club and doing things the right way I'd hope for a little more honesty over whats going on.

Yes wolves fans are crap, we know this. We've known this from the previous FIVE HUNDRED times we've seen this pic to demonstrate that.

Then I would say why go? Vote with your feet and let someone who may want to try and get behind the team to go in your place instead....did you leave Wembley at half time last year?

Time you jogged on back to the 'gers forum and had a wank about how much you dislike the bhoys, probably with a bit of bullshit sectarianism thrown in for, let's say, the 500th time

Comment From Neilsthings
Hi Jonny ... you didn't answer Guest's question: is McD. definitely staying at RFC? Thanks

Jonny Fordham:
Yes, so we're told. He has agreed a three-and-a-half year deal
