melonhead RattLOLed
DefiniteLOLy rattLOLed. Rother has always had a cob on ever since I dragged up his 'Overreaction Thread' for the entirety of the relegation season. I wouldn't have dragged it up quite so much if he hadn't continually displayed such a sanctimonious attitude in his posts over the years.
Anyway:
floyd__streete No-one would have touched McD before RFC gave him a chance, given his track-record for failure in non-league football (ask Woking fans how highly they rate him). He has been backed 100% by the fans throughout, so to leave two-thirds of a way through a season is pretty contemptible and rates him alongside McGhee and Pardew for me if this deal is sewn up.
Note use of word IF there. Poorly written post in that I should have used the words 'would be pretty contemptible' rather than 'is pretty contemptible'. The only deal that has been sewn up - as correctly forecast by Soggy, one of the few who doubted the reliability of this folding story to actually put their neck on the line - is the 3.5 year contract, otherwise I pretty much stand by my thoughts that to go in these circumstances 'would be pretty contemptible'. He isn't going, so it isn't contemptible

. Even from the club's own press release it is clear there has been considerable interest, so to call this unfolding situation a 'hypothetical' is as wide of the mark as stating it seems a 'done deal'. A bit more communication from the club wouldn't hae gone amiss, but I guess thrashing out new contract details is a rather sensitive subject area for a pithy 140 character tweet.
