I'm struggling to think of a worse run club from a top down perspective. Bunch of bloody idiots. How the hell could anyone, let alone AVB work in such a climate where the players held more sway than the manager. When the manager can't be given the time to grow his own team and philosophy.
You'd think they would have learned by now that their 'masterplan' is the twatting problem, not the manager(s).

No doubt there will be an absolute shed load of people queueing up to take the gig. Sign a 4 year contract, get sacked after 6-12 months and that's the bank account taken care of for the rest of your life. Now what is Chelsea FC's address? I wouldn't mind some of that!

Why doesn't Abramovitch just ask Terry, Lampard and Cashley who they want to be their manager and be done with it. I would feel sorry for AVB, but I'm sure the pay-off more than makes up for it.

i saw £27m quoted somewhere before avb was sacked, and he was on a huge deal.

Or more likely, why doesn't he just ask them to take the role... they obviously have all the control. Or do it himself.
