Friday's Legacy making di matteo interim manager until the summer suggests their intent to bring back jose mourinho. no-one else makes any sense.
Didn't Mourhino once say that he "never goes back"?

And besides, isn't he just waiting for Sir Alex to finally put away the tea service?

Friday's Legacy
soggy biscuit
SLAMMED 7 managers since 2000

5 managers since 2007

lolz

How much has employing and sacking them cost? Must run to a ridiculous amount

i saw £27m quoted somewhere before avb was sacked, and he was on a huge deal.

Must be somewhere around that - £13.3m to buy him from Porto, and he was on a salary of around £5m a year, so presumably he'll be paid over 2 years salary to see him on his way.

Media claiming that sacking Ancelotti and his staff, hiring AVB, paying his wages then sacking him too has cost £57m

What a waste.

Could have signed another Torres with that money.

No worries.

They'll earn that in Champions League next season.

They'll need a good £100m+ investment this summer too then.

38 years since a Chelsea boss managed 4 years in the job, and only Ranieri, Mourinho and John Neal have made it past 3 years in that time.

As IR said, when you’ve hired and pissed off so many of the world’s top managers, the pool of willing managers is going to shrink.

It’s a club without any steer whatsoever, just ‘have some money, win me the Champions League’, Abramovich is a joke of an owner.

Ideal Media reporting that Russian Kgb-o-vich has told the players he holds them responsible for AVB's failure and there will be large scale changes over the summer.

I assume this means Terry and Lampard will be out the door.

If he holds the players responsible why on earth did he sack the manager ffs!?

tbh if you're a world class manager you in a win win situation at Chelsea........do well and you'll be loved, do poorly and within a year you'll have £20m+ extra sitting in the bank

Can you not?

I mean, you wouldn’t, but theoretically you could, right?

If being shit is a sackable offence for a manager, surely it also is for a player.

Of course players can be sacked but it ends up costing the club a hell of a lot more than sacking a manager due to wages, sponsorship, image rights, bonus' etc etc

Didn't Oxford City sack one of their players for calling someone a homo not so long ago?.........i know its non-league but surely the rules are the same

Clubs would rather sell the player (even on a free) than sack them - like what happened to Barton @ Newcastle

Well all that and the point was that the players (we all know which ones) have thrown AVB under the bus so his position was unsustainable, so while you can blame the players the only move is to give into them for now and move the real pcunters out in the summer
