FiNeRaIn Still remember feds error against forest where earnshaw scored after fed kicked the ball into the back of our defender. Griffin is telling feds to keep his head up supporting him, mills is stood there hands behind the head staring at him no doubt with a heap of blame.

5 mill for mills was the best piece of business this club has ever done...[snip]

Agreed. Better than £500k for Hughes for sure. Better than £3m for Sonko too.

The most scummy undeserving captain I've seen since being a STH. No one on here really gave a toss when he was sold & it wasn't sour grapes. A captain should represent the club & the community as well as be a leader on the pitch. He represented none of those things....

Stinking attitude - I distinctly remember him squaring up to a number of his team mates during his captaincy - Karacan at home springs to mind.

Very entertaining read though. I remember plenty on here defending his row Z passes as being instructions from BM. Please!

To think we got Gorkss & about £3m + in the bank for him. Incredible business. Another thing - Pearce was never going to learn his trade playing next to that idiot. Pearce is fast becoming my POTS vote.

Despite Jobi getting stick on here (massively unjustified IMO) he is clearly a much much better choice. Eloquent, good role model & intelligent. They look like much more of a team & the amount of assists & goals he is chipping in with is not to be sniffed at.

Svlad Cjelli

Svlad Cjelli Leicester might be accumulating all the players, but they're also accumulating a mass of expectations and a mass of big egos.

Bet they still beat us on August 13th, though.

Ok - fiver?

Would Gorkss be an even better player if we'd given QPR £5m rather than £900k for him??

Only on Hobnob would selling a player and then replacing him with a better one at a fifth of the price be considered a shame!

A Leicester fan said

Sol Bamba can pass better than Mills with his genitals, that says it all.

How much did we get for him? Cracking bit of business.

It's not all good news though is it Vision-Gorkss is now 30 so there should be a premium for potential and prospective length of service and although I am no great fan of Mills he looks to have a considerably longer future ahead of him than Gorkss.
He might even spend more time on the pitch but that is not a given.

For the want of having nothing better to do after a day in hozzie, I watched a rerun of Leicester v Pompey yesterday and Mills was shocking. Hoofball into the channels - if you count channels as Row P of the Cheese & Onion Stand, or whatever it is called this month.

Five million was a deal, a steal, the sale of the fu cking century.

Matt Mills

Apologies if there is already a thread on this, but he's been dropped and frozen out @ Leicester after a bust up with Nigel Pearson. Talk of a loan move to Leeds

Leicester captain Mills frozen out after row with manager Pearson
By SAMI MOKBEL
Last updated at 10:42 PM on 24th February 2012

Matt Mills' career at Leicester appears to be over after he was involved in a furious bust-up with manager Nigel Pearson.
The row is thought to have erupted when the Leicester skipper questioned Pearson's decision to drop him to the subs bench for the FA Cup tie against Norwich last Saturday.
Pearson was said to be fuming at his player's audacity in questioning him over his decision to bench him for the clash against the Canaries.
Mills was then dropped from the Leicester squad that beat Derby 1-0 at Pride Park on Thursday.
And it is understood Pearson will refuse to select Mills - who cost Leicester in the region of £5million.
The Foxes are willing to let him go out on loan if another club are willing to take on all of his £25,000-per-week wages.

Then if you fancy even more of a chuckle http://talkingballs.co.uk/showthread.php/34988-Matt-Mills

Don't think anyone would miss him all that much. He has hardly justified the outlay on him..

If Mills had been playing to the value of his transfer value you could argue he had a point, he's been shit from day 1. Blaming other people for his own failure is an annoying trait.

Why is it Reading fans get so bitter about a player leaving for a bigger club and being on higher wages? You'd do the same in your career if somebody offered you much more money.

Not bitter in the slightest. He was good for us (at times) but an arrogant little shit for the majority, and as mentioned by Leicester, he always blamed everyone but himself when he was here too.

I'm glad we got shot of him. I still can't believe we got £5m for him. I hope that was upfront and not based on promotion.

I don't mind anyone leaving their job if someone is offering more cash and better prospects. At the start of the season I think it would have looked that way to Mills after we failed to go up.

I simply find this funny in a sort of Karma kind of way.

Got no problem with Mills leaving us for good money, we've got a better defender in Kaspars + cash in return.
We were all jumping when he scored @Goodison & Wembley etc.
He would get applause from me if he ever plays against us again,
but as said, we do love a pantomine villain and he deserves the finger!

There is a rumour circulating that he actually punched the manager. Might explain why they are so keen to get rid of him. Should be megalolz with Colin and Ken.

Mills's last four managers: Rodgers and Pearson couldn't manage him; Sven and Brian could. Says a lot for Brian, that. He coaxed the best out of Mills, and, despite Mills's temperamentality, got him buying into the Reading way, and boosted his transfer value. Pearson, instead, has written him off; if I were the Leicester owners, I wouldn't be too happy about that, given the money they spent on him. We may not have loved Mills, but we all raised an eyebrow when Rodgers paid large for him only to banish him to the reserves. I can imagine what Sir J said when Rodgers started asking for more money not long after.

Did Sven really get much out of him?

Signed him got sacked / left a bunch of games later after spending millions and treading water in mid-table. woop.
