well what a good week this is turning out to be. saints drop two points at home last night and west ham drop two points at home tonight, but reading win their seventh on the spin and are now within reaching distance of both 1st and 2nd place.

Useful two points dropped by the Hammers there. It all helps.

Cracking results last night! I still can't see a top two finish but I couldn't see 4 wins in the last 6..

Obviously, if we keep winning, woop-de-dooh

The real question is which clubs will slip up first
and how will they react to a slip up?

Because we are chasing, and because we have to go away to WHU and Saints, we have less room for error.

Come on southbank1871, this is unexpectedly superb form by anyone's standards. To ever look at the fixture list and say "yeah we'll take 18 points from the next 18" is bonkers. The fact we have taken 21 from 21 is amazing, BUT always the pesimist, I can't see a top two finish... and hopefully our form will now continue... you get me?

Was thinking a couple of weeks back that we could end up having 4 strikers all finish on around 10 goals, which IMO would be equivalent to a first choice of 18 & 14 with a handful for the back up. That's a pretty good haul IMO.

With Church and ALF on 7 each and Hunt and Roberts hoving into view with 6 and 4 respectively this is looking quite doable with 12 games left!

If he stays fit, Roberts ought to be near 10 by season's end

Churchy and Alfie if they get 6 x 15/20 each have a reasonable chance of another 3 goals

And Noel if he plays 70-90, stays fit, surely will get another 4 to get to 10

We might well have 4 strikers all on exactly 10 goals with HRK on 5 or 6

SSN studio pundits just talking about our chances of automatic.

Dowie says Saints and West Ham, but also says he's massively biased and it's a toss up between the Hammers and Royals. Tony Cottee says he hopes Saints and West Ham but he thinks his team is in trouble. Some div on the end says Saints and West Ham but it'll be close and finally the old bloke implies it'll be Saints and Reading.

If not under the radar, still not favourites with the media.

you have to be happy with a point at doncaster tonight. they're unbeaten in 5 now and it's a difficult place to go.

royals climb to 2nd, pushing the unhappy hammers into 3rd place.

lets hope leeds can do us a favour tomorrow night.

No chance in Dowie and Cottee saying anything else but that

Lets hope Millwall can do us a favour on Saturday too, they're not safe yet either and may well see Donny getting a point against us tonight as a bigger incentive to pick up at least a point against Saints. (here's to hoping)

So the winning run is over. 9-1-1 in our last 11. Tuesday night we played very well, can't figure out how we didn't win it. Those things happen. Just need to start up a new one on Saturday.
