Friday's Legacy

Why did he reply to your tweet in private? That could suggest he has less confidence in the deal going through.

Or that he didn't want it plastered all over the internet to protect the flow of information from his source?

Friday's Legacy is friends with James Nursey. That's why.

No Fixed Abode Rumour is in the Daily Mail today. Definitely true.

It's a no brainer surely. Has more experience than our current midfielders. Flexible with positions too. Potentially a minimal transfer fee (next season).
I don't think for a second he will be breaking into the first team anytime soon but he could be a suitable squad player to see out this season and for next year.
In Brian/Hammond we trust....... :D

we have agreed a loan fee with portsmouth and are talking to the player. it's a loan deal until the summer with a view to a free transfer. cardiff, palace and ipswich want him as well though.

Completely agree.

He is not coming in to become first choice rather experienced, proven back up. I just think of it as if Jem and/ or Ledge get injured during the last three games of the season and we are in with a shot of promotion who would you rather step in; Tabb, Howard or Mullins?

For me it is Mullins every day of the week followed by Tabb.

Nothing wrong with planning for worst case scenario.

I would be happy with this. Millins may not be one for the future, but has played in the Prem and the Championship and is vastly experienced and will perform at this level, even if it is only as back up to the 2 main central midefielders. When coming to the business end of the season, then his experience could prove vital as well as the additional cover he could provide.

Above all, If BMC rates him and think he will fit in, then that is good enough for me.

This'll be done by the end of the week, probably before.

Reading his chosen choice due to hometown links, can stay where he lives now and obviously our performances this season

So just a loan fee and free in the summer. You can't really go wrong with that! :P

Can't see him joining just to sit on bench though ....he may go to one of the others for that reason.....

He's 32. I'm sure he realises he is getting to an age where he's not going to play every week, this could be his last chance to play PL football if we go up and it's his hometown club so he can still be near his family. Plus, he'll actually get paid every week.

He looks really sweaty in that picture. For that reason, I'm in.

It's a no brainer for the player to move to Reading. 6-8 weeks contributing to a side that has a very good chance of promotion, not having to relocate or live out of a suitcase or face too big a commute and able to review his position again in the summer.

FL's been right before so I'm happy to be sucked into this. He's a good midfielder. Won promotion from this league before with West Ham and has Premiership experience. He will be the new Gunnarsson when he leaves in the summer. Can cover in defence. Very useful player and a free transfer in the summer. Happy days!

He's out of contract in the summer.
I can only see us losing out if another club offer him a certain deal for 2012/13 - 2014/15

Got to be a better 3rd choice than Tabb? Hope he signs.

Think we'll secure the loan as FL says, and then it's up to the player in the summer but I'm sure we'll already be talking to the player about wanting him longer term.

According to Palace fans, as well as coming from Reading he is also a Reading fan so it may be a dream of his to play for us. I can't confirm if he is or isn't though.......
