melonhead based on?

He had no time for his team mates, he was always a bit of an outsider who didn't get on with the other players that closely. He was arrogant and outspoken. Whilst SHunt was an unspeakable arse, Kits shouldn't have taken the piss about Church starting ahead of him in the POs. And then there's the drink drive incident with the alleged "don't you know who I am".

Disagree on most of that. Different yes, but unliked by team mates? Certainly not. And that's a fact with foundation.

Dave did let himself down with the drink drive offence, which is ironic because he had claimed in previous interviews not to drink any alcohol when the season was in force. Topic came up after MOTM awards where he also revealed that he was a serious wine collector.

I actually felt the last loan would have gone much better than it did, and think the odds are stacked against there being a more successful return if we made another move now. However, if Brian did take that option, I would back him and would love to see it work out for all parties.

Whatever happens he should be remembered as a Reading legend, and IMHO is a genuinely good bloke too.

06/07, not 05/06? Or cannot I not remember the season we were relegated?

Actually, please, please don't.

I want to remember Kits as the best striker we've ever had (my opinion, obviously). His first return was a let down. This could be the destruction of a legend.

This THIS THIS

So you both agree that his return was a `let down`, he scored 2 important goals in a time when the team couldnt create any half decent chances, the team at that point was poor and underforming, cant just lay it all on dave.

He wasn't when he was at his best. In fact I would argue we have had very few better strikers than Dave Kitson!

Not the player he used to be and the 'legend' is already ruined after his first return to the club, but for me any member of the 106 team is welcome back here at any time, even if only to peel the half time oranges. Love him.

I suppose you'd consider Leroy Lita up there too lol

Yet another example of a totally overrated striker :)

Wasn't in the squad tonight, instead a 17 year old called Ashley Harris came on for his debut in the last minute
