When I've seen him play lately he's looked a lot more useful with regards to tracking back. I haven't seen all that many games though.

I think his tracking back has been pretty good for years. He doesn't always do it throughout a game, or particularly well. But whenever I've seen him, he usually does track back and seeing him put in a challenge and win the ball is not something that causes surprise for me.
