Just a shame City fans don't have the bollocks to drink in the City Centre really.

WimbFranchise FCTheMaraudingDog Uniteds net transfer spend over last 3 years is lower than Hull and Blackpools.
Only because they sold ONE player for a ridiculous amount - otherwise they've spent c£100m
And again missing the point that its spend on wages that seperates clubs far far more than transfer net spend.
At least with United they have the revenue streams to support their spending/service the debt. If they make that much money then doesn't matter how they spend it really.

Hoop BlahRoyal RotherHoop Blah So would the first 4 in the Premier League.
And the 1st 4 in La Liga DO beat the 1st 4 in the PL!
Not in this years Champions League where both City and Chelsea were clear winners over their La Liga opposition.
That's not to say Utd haven't been resoundly beaten of course, or that the quality and consistency of the top teams in the Premier League hasn't left a lot to be desired too.
I do think there's an element of motivation in Utd's downfall in this tie. I don't think there can be much doubt that the Europa Cup, and the chance to knock out Utd, is more important to Athletico than it is Utd.

Hoop Blah I think after last nights game, Premier League sides have played La Liga sides 6 times in the Champions League this season. They've won 4, drawn 2 and lost 0.
Not sure how that pans out over the last 3 or 4 or so but that's a decent record considering RR's statement.
Not sure I'd back Chelsea against Real Madrid mind!

Having put themselves in a position to be paying stupidly high interest on £450m of debt, they don't have much choice.

Hoop Blah 6 years ago Fergie spent £18m on Carrick. The year after he spent £17m on Hargreaves and £27m on Anderson but hasn't bought a central midfielder since. It's almost if he's got a mental block over the position, like Wengers had on goalkeepers and centre backs.
Until they fix the middle of the park I can't see them being the force they should be.

Well put.

And there lies the problem.
Can't help but think a quality central midfielder would have made all the difference this season and they cannot rely on the ageing Giggs and Scholes any longer. There have already been suggestions there will be a major overall of the squad on the close season.
