Ark Royal The one of a very young City girl in glasses who was an absolute quivering, sobbing wreck after Aguero scored really got to me.

Absolutely astonishing stuff. Even Mrs Ark - whose interest in footy is about the same as mine of syncrhonized swimming - screamed when City scored the winner.

Events like today's reinforce your belief that football is the greatest game ever devised and every other sport can just fu ck off.

as long as you have far more money than anyone else. This is hardly the feel good story of the year. Also it's Man City, and I remember their fans from Div 2, wankers.

The icing on the cake yesterday has been the bleating from some United fans on phone ins and websites about how unfair it is that City bought the title.

The sense of entitlement from these morons is remarkable, suddenly, the scales fall from their eyes and they see that one club being about to spend tens of millions of pounds more than another isn't exactly a level playing field and now they are on the wrong end of it, they suddenly think it's unfair and even cheating.

Welcome to how everyone else thinks of your success. The only manager to win the Premeirship ever without spending the most at some stage of the team's development is Wenger at Arsenal.

Amazing scenes, good to see faceyb and twitter lighting up with comments not so much cheering Citeh or LOLling at Utd but saing how unbelievable skillz football is, oh and rinsing Joey Barton-what a gigantic helmet

and I'll go against the grain and say aggers shouldn't go, we actually thought we spotted him on telly yesterday

We collectively leapt off the sofa twice yesterday...once when Mackie scored (and what a great goal that was, by the way) and then again when Aguero slotted home...funny how the sheer emotion of it gets at you...supporting neither team and leaping up when both teams scored. What an occasion.

As said elsewhere, Football. Bloody Hell.

It is one thing having more money than anyone else but the secret is to get the best out of what you have spent. Man Utd, Man City, Blackburn, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham have all spent national deficits to what effect? How much di Utd spend on the likes of Japp Stam, Roy Keane, Andrei Kanchelskis and Berbatov? Arsenal spent how much on Bergkamp, Overmars, Viera and Henry? Blackburn blew millions to win the prem in 95. The list goes on. Even before football was invented in 1992 clubs spent extraordinary sums of money on players. Forest spent £1m on Trevor Francis in 1979.

Back in the 1920s and 1930s, Manchester United were often referred to as Moneybags United. So basically, everything changes while everything remains the same.

About £3 million wasn't it? Not that much even back then.

They then went on to sell him for about £18 million didn't they?

You wouldn't be saying the same if it was Reading winning the title though

Upton Park 2012 > St. Mary's 2012 > yesterday

Amazing scenes yesterday and a lol at Fergie. I have to agree that the scale of the City spending in relation to turnover is staggering in comparison to other teams. However complaining that they got beaten by a team spending only 14% more is disingenuous.

For last season:

Did you have your City shirt on yesterday m8? Maybe you can stitch your Reading shirt to your City Shirt and do a half and half shirt for next season.

Ha ha! Not often you've been able to give it the biggun Schards. Enjoy your moment. Better leave soon for the parade in Manchester, starts in 4 hours.
