Royalwaster
Cobi Watford had the offer turned down.

Oh, thanks. Didn't really think that we'd be after him anymore .... he's good but not Premiership standard.

We'd be crackers to sign him for the Prem.

Out of contract in the summer, worth a gamble on a highly rated 20 year old midfielder for the future?

I'm sure he'll mature into an excellent player.

Royalwaster Says on bbc that Northampton have rejected a bid from a Championship club:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17826072

Bit of a bbc story as he's out of contract at the end of the season, so how can they reject a bid. Surely, it's not up to them if he's out of contract?

Under a certain age, if a club offers a new contract (possibly needs to be improved) they have to get paid. Either they can agree a fee, or it goes to tribunal if they can't.
