Who would you swap him for?

If you had to?

Not going to happen. I think he's said in the past he doesn't want to go to Turkey. Also, who would swap playing in the Prem with playing the Turkish league?

Recycling a story that had no legs when it first appeared 12-18 months ago.

Doesn't this get reported every summer? The Turkish league is a terrible standard.

And it did have legs. Jem said himself that he was very close to joining them.

We're a completely different club now. Why swap this for Turkey? He might one day but not for a few years yet.

He only has one year on his contact so he could be using this speculation to increase his wages - as we are bound to want to extend his contract this summer.

In the end I am sure he will stay - as any young player in their right mind would prefer PL football over Turkish PL.

We have no idea how he'll recover from his ankle injury, he could be a crock from now on. It's happened to better players. I doubt we'll be rushing to sign any contracts for him until this becomes clearer.

And i doubt anyone will be buying him this summer either, for that reason.

Yeah, he couldn't settle in Turkey when he lived there for a year and so doesn't want to sign for them.

Equally importantly, I think he's a Galatasaray fan.

Yes, he is, or at least his Dad is. I think i recall him saying that he'd want to play for them one day - but i reckon this will (if true) have come at the wrong time for him.
