Rumour - Joselu

by WoodleyRoyal » 29 May 2012 14:53

Real Madrid sensation Joselu could start a transfer battle this summer with SIX Premier League clubs desperate for his signature.

Spanish newspaper Marca claims the striker, who scored 22 goals this season for Real Madrid’s B team, was watched in his last game by scouts from West Ham, Southampton and Reading as well as three other unnamed top-flight English sides.

The frontman, who also scored for Jose Mourinho’s first-team in the Copa del Rey, is also attracting interest from a host of Spanish clubs, including Getafe, Deportivo de la Coruna and Celta de Vigo.

Madrid already have an abundance of attacking talent at their disposal and they would be willing to consider offers of £5m and upwards - a fee that could be comfortably met by all the Premier League clubs, sparking a potential bidding war.

They will need to bid soon, though, with Real also considering making Joselu an offer to remain in their reserve side and to allow them to see how he will develop over the course of next season.

Yeah - they should say 'Reading, Southampton and West Ham' in that order!

Or, if the rumours have come from the Football League Show it would be 'West Ham, Southampton and that other team that got promoted.'

I'd imagine that any permanent transfer would have Madrid's standard buy back clause.

They'll be selling us Cristiano Roanldo for tuppence and paying his wages for the next 5 years after 5 minutes with Hammond.

Seemingly only on the very worst sites though, like talksport and goal.

I'm not sure even Hammond could make Perez do that. If you think Nick's good Perez is the king of playing hard ball. He might look like a bank manager but he's ruthless.

Not looking too rosy for Spanish bankers at the moment though is it?

On a slightly more serious note just for a minute, aren't Real to all intents and purposes owned by a Spanish bank?
