I would like him back, but my preference is not this summer, he needs to spend a year in a lower league whilst we enjoy Premier League football first to think about what he's done.

I would rather cut my nob off with a rusty breadknife than see Mills ever play for Reading again.

Here's hoping he's about to sign then...

He has a lot of attributes that could lead to him becoming a very good player but right now I think we could probably get more quality for our money elsewhere without everything that he may bring to the club (i.e. his ego). If he had no previous history with us then I'm sure there would be a few more resounding yes' but obviously we still have a bad taste in our mouth from his exit

Sadly, I think there would be too many knob ends booing him or whatever if he did come back. I think he may have learned a very valuable lesson in humility and let's not forget, when he left, he did an interview with the EP where he more or less hinted that he didn't want to go either.....

Would welcome him back if he wanted to come back.Despite his dodgey attitude on occasions hes still a class defender

Events at Leicester suggest he hasn't learnt a lot. 2 red cards, falling out with the manager...

One red card more than Jason Roberts - plus CH are far more likely to get sent off than a striker.

The manager he fell out with at Leicester wasn't playing him and wasn't the manager he signed for, so who knows what went on there - but I think it's unfair to lay all the blame on Mills if we do not know the full circumstances. He wasn't petulant with McD - only Rodgers - when he got reduced to the reserves for daring to tell Rodgers he didn't understand his tactics. Allegedly.

I'd be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt - but, as I said, I don't think he would come back a) as I don't think he'd be happy sat on the bench and I wouldn't drop Gorkss or Pearce for him and b) he'd get too much rubbish from sections of our "supporters"

He was petulant on the pitch for both. And he's had at least one red card every season he's played many games. With a total of 7 in his career. That's a hot head who can't control himself properly. And the fact he got 2 reds again this season, shows that he hasn't learnt his lesson. As does falling out with the manager. Whether the man was the one who signed him or not. Whether he was playing or not.

But, again, to be fair, no-one knows why he fell out with the manager at Leicester - there were certainly no rumours of any trouble when he played under Sven. I think it's unfair to just label him a trouble maker when we don't know what happened between him and Pearson, but we do know that he was banished to the reserves by Rodgers for daring to speak out and say he didn't understand what Rodgers' tactics were all about.

And yes, he has been a hot head - but McD could probably sort that out - and if he were being given another chance, as it were, then I think he would be man enough to take that chance with both hands and behave himself, although, being a centre back it's easy to get booked/sent off for flailing elbows etc. He got stick from a section of supporters and childishly responded, but I don't believe he's a thug or anywhere near the type of player/person you are making him out to be Ian. That's all. Anyway, as I said, I'd be surprised if he wanted to come back as little more than a substitute in any case.

Apparently he questioned Pearson's tactics in the dressing room and with Pearson you don't do that

I heard he gave it the big'un about being captain when Pearson put him on the bench and refused to play.

I heard about a training ground bust-up. If he questioned the tactics then that is not a good sign as he did that at half-time with Rodgers...

He is a bit reckless but has all the attributes to be a great centre back if that dissipates.

I would ask Karacan if he is 'wooldy' or 'flames'. If he isn't then leave him alone.

I'd be very surprised if this is in any way true.

I have it on good authority that we had tried to move him on in the January window prior to when he actually went. He was not considered a Reading type of player, or whatever the expression the club / management like to use.

On purely footballing terms i think he'd be a decent enough addition to the current squad, but personally i'd prefer to see Mariappa instead.

He was getting games (vis a vis 'his own way') with Sven.

The "Reading DNA" is a player who wants to improve. Seems that Matty thought he was already the complete article, and the club had it wrong.
No thanks.

Well quite. If someone pays £5 million for you, I suppose you kind of think they might actually play you. :|
