Last I read was that they thought they'd sort out a deal. Perhaps they're holding fire until a new manager is in place.

Even at 31 or whatever he is, I'd be happy with bringing him in to supplement Karacan and Legiertwood.

Would prefer him to Mullins.

Good solid Premiership performer. Wouldn't mind signing him at all and is a free and won't cost a fortune on wages.

Thought he had a decent match tonight. He has the work rate and tackling of jem/ledge but also seems to get himself in the right place at the right time when attacking.

I think he'd fit in with our style of midfielder fairly well. Quite hardworking and tough, but would add a bit more goal threat - even though his finishing left a bit to be desired tonight.

He would definitely improve our first team squad and is on a free, so assuming his wage demands are reasonable, this would be a no brainer and I for one would welcome his arrival.

I think we do need to get the balance right between oldies/experienced and younger/energetic.
With Harte,Bryn,Gorkss,Roberts,Tabb,Ledge,Jobi we may already nearly have enough oldies.
It is a very fine line between having enough steady experienced types for another couple of years or so and younger players that we hope will be good enough and energetic enough to keep us at the top level.
Andrews is a cheap option for a couple of years.

For those who don't normally watch Ireland - that was a very typical Andrews performance. Always works hard, strong, will get a couple of shots in. He can definetely play at the highest level, and we should snap him up asap cos he'd probably attract interest from other PL teams of our "stature".

he looked OK but I couldn't work out if that was him or the total lack of anything close to quality around him

I'd still take him, and McGeedy as well for that matter (although we won't be able to afford him!).
