ZacNaloen Translated from that link

Agreement provided that Carlos Sanchez is authorized by the authorities to move to England. It is not a mere formality because the South American does not yet have a French passport or the number of selections sufficient to obtain a work permit.

Not sure what the relevance is here for his appearances, cos the guy is colombian, but not being a french citizen does make it harder to get the VISA.

If he had a French passport then it would be sanctioned straight away. Otherwise it needs to be a top 70 fifa ranked national side and to have played in 75% of their competative fixtures over the last two years, which I was sure he had done...

25 appearances since 2007

That doesn't sound like a lot...

TheWearing Sanchez has stalled..Work permit and the fact he wants £40k a week which is in excess of £1.1million a year!

Where did you study maths? 40k a week is roughly £2m a year.

In excess= More than! Where did you study english?

Really Andrew? Please quit whilst you are ahead (if you can even call it that...)

Also, you are not the first to break the news, ever. You get it from Twitter.

Sometimes I wish I was young again. Then I see your posts and you bring me back to reality.

Given that the Copa America doesn't have qualifiers and Colombia didn't qualify for 2010 World Cup there haven't been loads of competitative fixtures since 2009 but he's played in pretty much all of them

I see that the TSI thread has been locked before it reached 300 pages.. shame really..

As it has also been decreed by the people on the board that I was on a windup I have decided to throw in the towel and declare myself out of the running for being ITK...

Good luck people I will be keeping my info to myself now

They can have the shallow victory

Also if it was a wind up I must also have a claim to the best windup on the team board since ITFC declared that Forster would get 15 goals and Coppell would be sacked by christmas.

The article states 1.1m EUROS per year so in fact its NOT in excess of £1.1 million a year

Mike. I am disappointed this meltdown has not happened. I have been siting on a load of hookey IT equipment, that I was going to offer Graham at a highly discounted rate once the meltdown occurred. One careful owner, stamped TVP, er, ahem, Tom Vickery Partitioners :D . Is this meltdown likely to happen at all in the next week? I need to shift the IT gear as I am taking delivery of a job lot of inflatable Olympic sized tennis courts next week.

Pound gained about 15% on the Euro in the last year, joke fail

1.1 million euros a year is about £17k a week which wouldn't be outside of our PL wage structure

All you're saying is that a big signing is going to go through, then in late August when does finally happen, you'll claim it.

Hardly being in the know

My sources tell me, that despite us agreeing a fee weeks ago and agreeing terms with the player, and just waiting for him to get back off holiday/international duty, we've made an improved offer for Adrian Mariappa.

Indeed it doesn't, but those stats were correct as of May 2010, so it's safe to assume he has considerably more caps than that.

As it happens he started and finished their WCQ against Peru a couple of days ago.
