RUMOUR - Robert Koren

by Dare to Dr£am » 09 Jun 2012 17:02

McDermott enquired about the midfielder a couple of weeks ago and a deal is close with Hull.

Koren is 31 now. WBA still hold him in high regard. I'd be happy with that, and a bit of experience.

Was Hull's player of the year last season and weighed in with a decent number of goals.

The creative midfielder we have been missing?

All his talk in recent months about new players has mentioned the word "hunger" most frequently. Roberts had it and it seems to me that his mindset is that decent players who have played at a lower level are more likely to have it and be more useful than good established players in the Prem.

Yes please. Wont cost a great deal and gives us something creative in the middle. Would still like Butterfield too.

The basis of a team quite capable of winning the Championship or surviving in the Prem IMO. And just POTSs from the Chump.

Leaving Pearce and McLeary aside, would be surprised to see anymore than 2 of the others named at the club next season

Me too, especially starting... but just suggesting that POTS transfer policy isn't that bad an idea.

NEW Hull boss Steve Bruce faces a battle to keep midfielder Robert Koren.

Promoted Reading are lining up a £750,000 bid for the Slovenia captain, 31.

Royals chief Brian McDermott will offer striker Jason Roberts, 34, a two-year deal to fend off interest from clubs in America and the Middle East.

Can't really go wrong for that money. Good experience, scores a few from midfield. We're missing someone like that.

Don't worry, it's only a loan for the first 2 games of the season...
