From the Euros to the Royals .....

by phil in cornwall » 09 Jun 2012 14:28

Now that Reading are back in the Premier League, with some money behind them, who have you seen in the Euros that you would like to see playing for Reading next season?

After the first day, Russia's Alan Dzageov must be in the frame. What an asset he would be.

We have a Russian backer who could fund it and who could speak with him in Russian to persuade him to join up. It's a no brainer.

Didn't the club already announce they won't be scouting the Euros?

Alan Dzgaoev has previously been linked with some of the biggest clubs in Europe, we have no chance. The boy is class.

That young Greek midfielder Fortounis who plays in the bundesliga, who came on and started the move that won the penalty looked tidy. Reminded me abit of Sig

The player that really impressed me actually was Czech Republic's right back, Gebre Selassie. He was great.

From the Holland v Denmark game I would like Alan Kvist please Anton.

What a defender and (sorry to admit it) much prettier than our current ones.

Selassie of the Czech Republic has been talked about for some time. I suspect he would have been moving on from Sparta Prague to a bigger club regardless of his performance at the Euros. He would, however, be a fantastic right back signing. Good article on him here.

Thought that the Russian right-back Alexsandr Anyukov was class as was Konstantin Zyrianov in the middle of the park.

Whatever we do, I hope we're steering clear of Kerzhakov.

That guy up front for Russia didn't look bad, Arshavin. Reckon' an English club will pick him up soon.

Yes, I think he has trouble finishing a packet of crisps, but he is first choice ahead of Pavlyuchenko and Pogrebnyak.

He'd be fantastic for the long runs into the box - may have to start a few km's away though.

Krohn-Deli (or whatever his name is) looked pretty good for Denmark too IMO.
