RockheadRumple The player that really impressed me actually was Czech Republic's right back, Gebre Selassie. He was great.

I liked him too! He had some good moments and worked hard despite the Russian onslaught. Well spotted.

RockheadRumple Whatever we do, I hope we're steering clear of Kerzhakov.

Yes, I think he has trouble finishing a packet of crisps, but he is first choice ahead of Pavlyuchenko and Pogrebnyak.

From seeing him time to time playing in the Russian League, I'd say his finishing is usually pretty good actually.

But no doubt it was awful against Czech Rep.

I'd still be interested in Andrews, especially as he's available on a free.

phil in cornwall After the first day, Russia's Alan Dzageov must be in the frame. What an asset he would be.

We have a Russian backer who could fund it and who could speak with him in Russian to persuade him to join up. It's a no brainer.

You plonker.

I was watching Germany - Portugal and thought Coentraou the Portuguese left back looked pretty tasty. I assumed he was probably already at a big club, but I wasn't expecting him to have been signed by Real Madrid for £25m!

That Schweinstieger bloke might be decent back up for Ledge too.

Stop being facetious, Ian. It's just a bit annoying.

I thought it was quite amusing myself.

Nobody champions ambitious signings more than I do, but thinking that we would ever sign anyone on the strength of their performance at the Euros is laughable.

Yeah I'd like Piszczek, Eriksen, Dzagoev, Sneider and Pirlo but this topic is stupid

Hi yeah did anyone else see that Cristiano Ronaldo bloke for Portugal? I think he might be worth bidding for. Sorry if he's been mentioned already it's just before this "Euros" thing I never realised football happened in other countries.

Kerzhakov was brilliant until it came to shooting. Great movement, clever play and almost made himself a hattrick had he hit the target each time.

Liked the look of Krohn-Delhi for Denmark, plays for Brondby... not too unrealistic?

Understand that Hammond is there at the moment...

Vaclav Pilar looks like a good signing for Wolfsburg

Shame, I really like the look of him. Gebre Selassie at full-back looks decent too.
