Wuzzy87 Bolton seem to be on a 'all or bust' campaign to get promoted back to the PL. I seem to recall there being a few articles out over the last year stating bolton were leaking money (and that was in the Premiership). I imagine if they dont come back up at the 1st time of asking then they could well be on the road to administration

I seem to recall their debt at the last count was approx £110m.

Saaaaaaaammmmmm A slightly forgotten transfer target but for what it's worth

In The People
Sanchez is coming to Bolton this week to finalise talks and have a medical. He has also been a target for Reading and Italian giants Roma.

However Bolton are optimistic of landing Sanchez, 26, as Roma only see him as a squad man, while they rate him a key capture.

Could be interesting if Mills goes there as well, bit of a coming together in training and we will probably hear the bang down here!

Does anyone know what's happening with this one?

At the moment the squad lacks like for like competition for Ledge and I was under the impression that this guy may be the one to provide this competition.

..as said earlier on here , he appeared at one stage to be favouring a move to Bolton, but as they've just signed Keith Andrews, not sure if that's a goer anymore ....

Guthrie is a very different type of player compared to ledge, ledge being someone who is a physical presence to break up play and Guthrie being someone who likes to get on the ball and make things happen.

Guthrie is more likely to get assists than Legs, but he is also tenacious and does his fair share defensively. He's basically a poor man's Cabaye.

Sanchez does look more like Legs from the YT video, but we have four central midfield options now. I don't think we really need another.

Not happening now. He was first choice, but wanted silly money.

News says he's going to Bolton. How can we have let this slip over his wage demands (apparently), when a Championship team with huge debts (apparently) can afford him? If we were truly interested and he was a good enough player, why have'nt we got him?

Quite simply because we didn't feel he was worth what he wanted. We're not mugs, and we've moved on. It's not always about being able to afford someone.

You hinted two more could come in?

Went quiet after we refused to match yet another demand. Thought he would find a club who would and hasn't, hence why we signed Guthrie instead

Yes. We're still looking at a striker and midfielder. Whether we get what we want we will have to wait and see.
