Extended-Phenotype If it wasn't for Roberts, I'd say our signings and the demand of the prem have us lining up in a 4-5-1. Strong Mr. Pog up top, Guthrie as an AM with Jem and Legs behind him.

However, the rumour of Rhodes (i.e. how many attackers do we need if we are setting up for just 1 up top), and Roberts quality (and vocal opposition to lone striking) maybe we are going to take a risk and swap Jem for Guthrie in our starting line-up.

No idea what I'd prefer to happen. Roberts deserves a chance, but we desperately need some creativity in the middle. Can Reading and Guthrie cope with just two in central midfield?

I'm not sure Guthrie has the goals in him to play in that attacking midfielder role. My money is on Jem missing out personally. He's the weakest midfielder we have in possession and we needed to do more to use the ball well in the Chump, let alone the Prem.

Extended-Phenotype Violence rarely solves anything.

blue = violence solving something
green = reason solving something
red = something else
