No Fixed Abode Apparently Chelsea have won the race to sign Brazilian wizkid Oscar.

Everything I have read recently on this bloke suggests he is something truly special. I would be a little concerned though that at 20 years old he has already been on strike once and his current club had to take him to court, and pay him £5 million, to get him playing again.

Alexander Litvinenko Specul8ion that Andy Carroll will be loaned to West Ham.

Apparently a close friend of Carroll has said there is no chance Carroll will be leaving Liverpool. That said, Rodgers doesn't seem to warm on him.

Was always going to want to get rid as Carroll would not fit into the style written in his big book of tactics.... and rogers doesn't like having a plan B

Define "leaving"?

The talk is of a loan, which might be the best option for everyone if Rodgers doesn't want him there playing but Carroll doesn't want to move elsewhere and onto a lower salary.

The source was quoted as saying that he 'isn't going to Milan, or West Ham or back to Newcastle or anywhere', I assume that covered loan arrangements.

Will see though, wouldn't surprise me if he went on loan somewhere. Would be a mistake on Rodgers' part though, imho.

That's surprising as he seemed to be getting better towards the end of the season, and did pretty well at the Euros.

Not so much getting better, more being less bad? He was OK, but didn't make either first-choice line-up.

I wouldn't like to be Rodgers, trying his hardest to get his team to pass the ball properly, while Carroll lurked in the wings or on the bench, desperate for some route-one service. It would polarise opinion. As soon as Liverpool stumbled, journos and fans could call for Carroll as an easy way of expressing their disatisfaction.

It is an interesting dilemma for Rodgers and the club.

I think he's a decent enough player, but I'm not sure I can see him fitting in well with what Rodgers will be trying to do. The point about Carroll then being the symbol of dissent is one I hadn't really though of but might add a bit of extra incentive to move him out the door.

Silva only signed a new contract at Milan a week ago!

I wonder if there's a record for how many times a manager has signed the same player? Warnock absolutely bums the fat git.
