Whore Jackie England switching to Nike from next season.

Sad day for England the first time they have used an overseas supier to provide the national kit. At least they didn't go German.

I'm willing to be shot down in flames here but I think Nike own Umbro

I still far prefer the Umbro designs.

Nike to supply new England Kits

by Geekins » 03 Sep 2012 16:29

Thoughts?

I'm excited - love Nike kits, although liked Umbro making them as it kept it all English.

Umbro were bought out by Nike ages ago anyway so it's all the same.

Nike do indeed own Umbro. However totally separate design functions.

Think this is a good thing, Umbro seemed to have lost any creativity and were just going through the motions trying different colour combinations. Nike have a great track record with international kits, so looking forward to seeing what they produce.

Of all the PL kits, I def prefer Nike. Simple with just a bit of new creativity each year. Umbro hasn't been doing the best. Worst has to be lotto... the QPR kit is awful. Looks like the lower division Spanish garbage.

Nike are moving all the big hitters, England, Man City etc to them before they sell umbro off basically

Barcelona announce that from next season their away kit will be based on the Catalan flag thus kicking off a sh*t storm in Spain where they (and Nike) are being heavily criticised for bringing nationalism & politics into football

lol @ spain

far bigger things to worry about, not least a bloated and pointless federal system which means whatever taxes they can msuter tend to go on two layers of ministerial cars etc

Love that away shirt. Hope they wear it at the Bernabeu next season.

Problem with the England kit is that there is not much you can do with a plain white shirt. I still think that the current shirt would look better with red shorts.
