Most goalkeepers aren't that stupid. More chance of getting that big chance by playing regularly at a lower level and getting spotted, than warming the bench week in week out at a bigger club. Presumably Taylor hasn't learnt that lesson yet!

It takes all sorts - and goalkeepers are, on average, more stupid than many other players ....
