MmmMonsterMunch This season doesn't in any way compare with 07-08.

It will in May.

MmmMonsterMunch Rather strange that you ask me if I'm new to football. Au contraire - I stood in p1ss at Elm Park so forgive me for being quite happy at the current situation.

I probably stood next to you, difference is I travelled 240 round trip in a Ford Cortina Pre M40. I like what see now and I what to keep it. My car isn't an old banger I've bought many a new one since it's called evolution and the club needs upgrade in decent players to keep apace with modern life.

paultheroyal I love this club too but to me and others it's bleeding obvious we do not have the quality or game changers and 07/08 seems to be forgotten about already.

How d'you work that one out?

Our transfer activity this window has been massively more substantial than anything seen before at this club.

Lessons learned.

If you are happy with the quality of players that are sat on the bench then great, we have done well.

When Roberts and Kebe are back we could have a bench of:

McCarthy, Shorey, Mariappa, Karacan, Kebe, Hunt, Roberts/ALF

That's a decent bench by any standards

MmmMonsterMunch But the team spirit is the best it's ever been no?

Without sounding completely ghey don't underestimate that.

How many extra points do you get for team spirit?

Ian Royal
FRIDDY109 So we don't sign anyone today but what happens when Pearce or Gorkss get suspended or injured?

Mariappa, our highly promising and PL experienced young CB steps in, with Morrison on the bench as cover.

Was that the experience of being relegated with Watford ?

You won't break me. I am going to remain cautiously optimistic for this season. We definitely can stay up.

Standing on the open terraces of Elm Park, watching games that probably wouldn't even be rated as 'League' to some of today's RFC fans, still produced more passion in those diehard fans, than being in the PREMIER does now. We should all be very happy with what we have acheived and what we can still do in the future. We have one of the best Managers, great Owners,.... and a TEAM spirit that has been instilled in the Club as a whole. Live it. Enjoy it. Do it with a smile on your face, that starts in your heart!

Ok... after managing control my childish wants for Reading to sign more... we do not need to worry.
As stated previously - if we signed Pogrebynak (for example) today and not when we did then everyone would be dancing with joy.
And if your need for overpriced unnecessary players is too much - we can convince ourselves we'll sing a s**t ton of players in January and subsequently win the league. And then this post leads to more ranting and stuff about stuff because i'm too frikking tired to talk more/type more stuff..... góða nótt

I have to say that the attitude of some of the fans on here quite shocking. They behave like spoilt little kids whose mummy won't buy them their favourite toy.

Tamworth_Royal If football was that simple Man City and Chelsea would spend a fiver a tear on players

Football is actually very simple. Unfortunately the money just totally ruins it. Stoke have wasted so much money on shit buys FTR. It won't be long before that shit hits the fan - Coates is already saying they now need to sell in order to buy.

Why are you a Reading fan if all you care about is being able to spend loads of money? Surely you've picked the wrong team?!

Have you seen who Stoke have signed this transfer window to stay up compared to us

Oh dear you reckon Coates is demanding selling players lol you really haven't got an idea have you how this league works.

Ps I bet I was long before you at Elm park so don't give me that shite

Has this turned into an "I'm older than you competition"? Forgive me I didn't realise. I'm 31 - is that too young? Do I lose?
