If you read back through his other posts they all follow the same mould. The club is doomed!!

The funniest thing is even if we finished say 12th, at the end of the season, everyone will say "Bloody hell how did we manage that, can't get away with that again. Got to spend 10 zillion in the summer or we'll definitely go down". And so on and so on.

Surely the fact we almost beat Chelsea @ Stamford Bridge last week after going behind says something about the team? And coming back from behind to get a point against a horrid horrid team that no one enjoys playing? Or not?

MmmMonsterMunch I have absolute faith in the club & Brian.

This season really is a lottery. No one really knows who will get relegated do they? It's far too tight to call & it will go right down to the wire again.

I hope & pray it's QPR though. They would be utterly fcuked if so.

You lose all credibility with your lottery comment. How bloody ridiculous. The best teams with the best players rise to the top and the under resourced and / or lack of quality will be in the bottom ten or so.

An forgot, bonus points for team spirit, we will be just fine!!!!

Ps i to have faith in Brian and the team however I am not seeing the ambition expected from so called wealthy backed new owners. I don't want mercenaries etc in our club but creamed off talent from championship clubs like Zaha would go a long way in securing premier league survival.

Premier League > Championship HTH

There is spending money on quality and there is spending money in hope. Think majority on here at the time realised that the latter applied to Leicester last season.

I take the view that we have a simular squad that Swansea and Norwich had last season. and they did ok , but i think it could well be a stronger PL this year with no obvious whipping boys..apart from us that is!

That's exactly what happened last time-finished 8th,failed to invest, got relegated.
A brave defeat v Chelsea and one point against one of the worst away teams in the Prem adds up to.....1 point and if we average 1 point every two games we will be relegated.
Is that negative enough?
Now if you want to spin it the other way fine but don't expect everybody on here to see things the way you do.
I think we have built a team for the Championship but that is just my view and don't see me,Avon and the like as some kind of traitors,it's just an opinion.

Pepe the Horseman No, cos the old Reading can oxf*rd off and you'll never see the new Reading wanting for stuff cos we've got money and what not! Erm. What? Eh? Sorry. Enjoy

Untrue - Pardew wanted him to stay.

Bollocks

No Tamworth, you twonk, Guthrie didn't sign the contract offered to him because he wanted to play regularly. Pardew liked him a lot.

Knee Jerk, unrealistic, know-nothing, STG moron.

It's great to see true fans have their say,.....and I believe that you are all true fans. I'm sure that in reality all of the thoughts written here will pass through the minds of most of us, at one time or another. "We should have bought more" when we are 2-0 down in a match,.....and "Brian is the greatest" when we are 2-0 up! Face it, we want to win every game, if we could, but I we know that isn't happening yet......yet...
Just remember, WE are fans of the SAME RFC. It's like having a stoped watch,.....you are each going to be right at some time! :D 8)

Has anyone else noticed how the likes of Tamworth, Crowthorne, West Stand Flash, SDR et al only turn up when we're doing badly / expected to do badly? They revel in doom and despair.... they're like the four horsemen of relegation, only with a problem with prematurity.

They're all such spackers they probably have problems with prematurity in the bedroom too.

We're all guilty of it at times, Ian. You, for example, are proving too one-eyed to even accept that if Rhodes scores 25 goals and takes Blackburn up, their 'punt' on him will have been proven a good one.

No, you're just failing to understand that the end doesn't necessarily justify the means.

Although I certainly have had dark days in the past.

Thought i'd let you know that the Zaha deal nearly went through. It was £4m and Church on loan for the season. Looks likely Church will go to Palace on loan when the loan window re opens, and we'll probably go back in for Zaha in January

Any idea of the reason it didn't go through?
