Hampshire Royal Do we know how serious Carroll's hamstring injury is yet?
by Ian Royal » 03 Sep 2012 17:53
ManchesterRoyals If we signed him we would all be buzzing about it, hes got a point to prove i think he will do the business for the hammers this season, i would have taken him here in a flash

TheSiegeJimboTheSiege Fact - we won the Championship with a defence that conceded little and an attack that scored little! The goals that we got came from all over the field. We are now defending against far better forwards and have age problems at the back! Our strikeforce is now playing against a much better class of defender but, also, we have the ball far less often! The Pog is a good recruit but, even at Fulham, did not follow up his brilliant start with them! He is not, at a high level, a guaranteed one goal in two games player! Why do some people have problems with reality?
Name one guaranteed one goal in two games premier league striker that we could afford. In fact, name one that anyone outside the top three could afford.
I believe Andy carroll scored 4 prem goals last season. Just what we need.
And since when did we have age problems at the back?
Notice you didn't try to oppose the facts! And we have a defensive age problem on the left-hand side !

I'd be wondering why we've brought in an enormous lump on stupid wages, and questing which retard Anton has replaced Hammond with.

You can't be serious, Ian.
Andy Carroll is a top-class striker and WHU will be at least mid-table now, probably top half.
He'll get at least a dozen goals and his presence will create a lot more

Hampshire Royal Pog scored 6 goals for Fulham in 12 games last season, which was his first season in the Prem.
Carroll scored 9 goals in 47 games (18 as sub) last season, which was not his first season in the Prem.
I think we've got the better deal.

Royal Rother I wonder if there's ever been a club paying one guy more than double what the 2nd highest earner gets.
And if so, what that did to the team spirit.

Mr Angry Carroll now out for 6 weeks with his hamstring injury.
With his wages at £90K per week and the loan fee of £1.5M, I make that an outlay by West Ham of £2,130,000 (Plus NI) for 68 minutes of pitch time, or £31,323 per minute...........
