I'm currently watching an Under 19's International on the Telly (PRC Vs DPRK. China scored in about the 10th minutes and maintained that lead up until the last minute of time added on for stoppages (5 minutes).
BUT they did so with the help of a display of the most blatant time-wasting I have ever had the misfortune to see. In the 25 minutes between the 65th and the 90th, the Chinese team had no less than 7 player stretcherd off for injuries (And that is just the point at which I started counting). Sure; 5 minutes got added at the end (The DPRK scoring with the last kick, so justice being done) but they would have wasted
FAR more than that. All Chinese teams do this and it's just crap. It makes them even worse to watch. It's just cheating and I'd like to suggest a rule-change. I think that any player that has to leave the field should have to stay off for a set period of time (Say 5 minutes). This would stop teams feigning injury to player to waste time as they would be at a numerical disadvantage (It would also ensure that players with authentic injuries got proper treatment). Should a player go off more than once, the "recuperation" time period should be extended (8 or 10 minutes for the second occurence, longer for any subsequent trips to the side-lines).
Another thing that pisses me off is players "sheparding" the ball out of play, making no effort to play it and "obstructing" oponents from getting to it. If they aren't making any real effort to use the ball, it shouldn't be illegal for opponents to push them away.
RANT OVER. (Ha Ha! 1 -1

)
