1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far? Not great but we're yet to play any 'relegation rivals' and there have been some promising signs. Mixed.
2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far? Fairly strong
3. You had a remarkable season last year, what have you made of your summer transfer business in preperation for the Premier League? At first, I thought it was great, but now in starting to doubt out quality in a few areas and wish we'd strengthened those.
4. What have you made of our summer transfer business? You didn't seem to do much tbh
5. We've been seen as a yo-yo club in recent years, what are your thoughts on WBAFC as a club alongside its supporters? Now a PL club IMO, similar to villa - will have to watch out for relegation.
6. What are you expecting for the rest of the season and where do you think you will finish? 16th
7. What are you expecting from us for the rest of the season and where do you think we shall finish? 14th
8. What team is Brian McDermott most likely to put out? Same as 2nd half yesterday
9. Are there any players in our side that you fear? and who should we fear in your side? McCleary, Pog, Kebe potentially
10. And finally, score predictions? 2-1 us

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far?
As expected. Pretty poor
2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far?
Punching above weight but have made some good signings
3. You had a remarkable season last year, what have you made of your summer transfer business in preperation for the Premier League?
Pog & Guthrie, good. We seem to be relying on last years squad, and as yesterday showed, it isn't good enough
4. What have you made of our summer transfer business?
Getting Lukaku on loan was a fantastic bit of business
5. We've been seen as a yo-yo club in recent years, what are your thoughts on WBAFC as a club alongside its supporters? Positive or negative, we don't bite :D
Pretty harmless to be honest. There are at least 3 worse sets of supporters in the midlands!
6. What are you expecting for the rest of the season and where do you think you will finish?
After our yearly slow start we'll start winning games we don't deserve to and will finish just short of mid-table
7. What are you expecting from us for the rest of the season and where do you think we shall finish?
I think this will be your best season in the PL
8. What team is Brian McDermott most likely to put out?
Not Sure
9. Are there any players in our side that you fear? and who should we fear in your side?
Shane Long and Lukaku. And for us, Kebe and McCleary, possibly Guthrie and Pog.
10. And finally, score predictions?
2-0 WBA

7. What are you expecting from us for the rest of the season and where do you think we shall finish? 12th
8. What team is Brian McDermott most likely to put out? A shit one with all his favorites
9. Are there any players in our side that you fear? and who should we fear in your side? Shlong/nobody

Liam_Baggies Hi,

As a moderator on Westbrom.com we run a weekly View from the opposition where I ask you a set of questions and you reply with answers. I was wondering whether you would take time to participate in the questionnaire and I shall post the final article in this topic later on this week.

I must apologies to the Admin/Mods If I have broken any rules or have put this topic in the wrong place. So, you have my apologies.

I also apologise for coming at such time after your defeat earlier today.

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far?
Given that we have only played 3 games so far and 2 of those were against teams I expect to be challenging at the top end it is about as good/ bad as expected.
2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far?
Not bad.
3. You had a remarkable season last year, what have you made of your summer transfer business in preperation for the Premier League?
I am very impressed with Pog, McCleary and Guthrie. They will become great assets once we kick off properly.
4. What have you made of our summer transfer business?
Not really registered it.
5. We've been seen as a yo-yo club in recent years, what are your thoughts on WBAFC as a club alongside its supporters? Positive or negative, we don't bite :D
I suspect you are still very much a yoyo club. As half my family lives in the area and supports you i don't suppose I should be too rude!
6. What are you expecting for the rest of the season and where do you think you will finish?
I anticipate a tough season with a fight to stay up. I do expect us to stay though as it is the Reading way.
7. What are you expecting from us for the rest of the season and where do you think we shall finish?
You will struggle too, probably just survive too.
8. What team is Brian McDermott most likely to put out?
Sam as the second half v Spurs
9. Are there any players in our side that you fear? and who should we fear in your side?
No fears, just alert to them. We obviously know what Long can do if you give him space to operate in. I think Guthrie and McCleary are the most likely to punish you.
10. And finally, score predictions?
As we are still your bogey side I anticipate a narrow win for us.

Thanks for taking part, here's to an enjoyable game and I wish you all that are attending a very safe journey down to the Black Country.

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far?

Apart from the 30 minutes we spent tearing Chelsea to pieces it's all been one big letdown

2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far?

Really good. Perhaps it caught up with you at Fulham though, hopefully that doesn't turn out to be unfortunate for us

3. You had a remarkable season last year, what have you made of your summer transfer business in preperation for the Premier League?

Decent but could do better, because of the new money in the club we were being linked to virtually everyone going which made for interesting talking points but most of us knew it was complete crap.

4. What have you made of our summer transfer business?

Don't really know much about it, getting Steve Clarke in as manager was a great move and Lukaku on loan was great business

5. We've been seen as a yo-yo club in recent years, what are your thoughts on WBAFC as a club alongside its supporters? Positive or negative, we don't bite

Definitely a yoyo club but with a broken string at the moment. As soon as that's repaired though business will return to normal. No real thoughts about WBA just a good little inoffensive club finding its feet in the PL. You're also not Wolves or Birmingham which is a bonus.

6. What are you expecting for the rest of the season and where do you think you will finish?

Not much to be honest. A bit of a struggle with players who are a team but individually probably lack a bit. If the wind blows in the right direction then we can hopefully finish above three other teams.

7. What are you expecting from us for the rest of the season and where do you think we shall finish?

A fight for lower mid table obscurity but most likely a finish between 14th and 16th

8. What team is Brian McDermott most likely to put out?

The same one that finished v Spurs yesterday

9. Are there any players in our side that you fear? and who should we fear in your side?

Lukaku for me, thankfully Odemwingie will be suspended. We know all about Shane Long as well. You lot should fear Pogrebnyak and also McLeary.

10. And finally, score predictions?

Don't do those. History would suggest, though, that there will be a final score (not always guaranteed as per our last away trip to the bowl of water in Sunderland).

:|

One great cross/header and a massive goalkeeping error to give us a short-lived lead does not constitute tearing anyone apart. This Reading team couldn't tear apart a tissue, tbh.

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far?
Mediocre against Stoke, probably should have won but for a goalie error. Started slow against Chelsea but really gave them a run for their money and but for a goalie error and an offside goal might *just* have miracled a win. Dire against Spurs first half and then gained ourselves a bit of respect back second half. But defensively, tactically and attitudally poor.

It's going to be the long hard slog I expected, and I'm currently thinking 6.5/10 chance of relegation. But we do have the quality to step up and finish towards mid-table if we can find our form and have a proper go at teams.

2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far?
Irritatingly good, but hopefully brought back down to earth now.

3. You had a remarkable season last year, what have you made of your summer transfer business in preperation for the Premier League?
Good signings so far, but our team really had too many weak links for the PL so we're still likely to struggle. We're being hurt by injuries to Kebe & Roberts (mainly suspension for Roberts actually) and a poor start from Federici & Harte in particular. Guthrie, Pog and McCleary look class acts.

4. What have you made of our summer transfer business?
Er... You wouldn't let us sign Long back?

5. We've been seen as a yo-yo club in recent years, what are your thoughts on WBAFC as a club alongside its supporters? Positive or negative, we don't bite :D
Good club that seems to go about things better than many of your local rivals. Might be able to genuinely make the step up for a half dozen seasons or so this time.

6. What are you expecting for the rest of the season and where do you think you will finish?
A long bloody slog full of moaning gits and piss poor passing interspersed with full on in your face attacking to steal points in the last 5 minutes. A narrow relegation or a narrow survival. Oh the joy.

7. What are you expecting from us for the rest of the season and where do you think we shall finish?
More of the same from last season. Safe lower mid-table.

8. What team is Brian McDermott most likely to put out?
Fuk knows right now tbh, half of them deserve to be dropped.
McCarthy, Gunter, Pearce, Gorkss (or Mariappa), Shorey, Guthrie, Leigertwood, McAnuff, McCleary, Pogrebnyak, Le Fondre with a bit of luck.

9. Are there any players in our side that you fear? and who should we fear in your side?
Long. He knows us and he's a handful. McCleary.

10. And finally, score predictions?
2-2, maybe. Please?

Liam_Baggies Hi,

As a moderator on Westbrom.com we run a weekly View from the opposition where I ask you a set of questions and you reply with answers. I was wondering whether you would take time to participate in the questionnaire and I shall post the final article in this topic later on this week.

I must apologies to the Admin/Mods If I have broken any rules or have put this topic in the wrong place. So, you have my apologies.

I also apologise for coming at such time after your defeat earlier today.

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far? Difficult to judge as we've had a stop start beginning in terms of the fixture list.

2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far? Apart from a set back the other day but you've done well so far and look a threat up front.

3. You had a remarkable season last year, what have you made of your summer transfer business in preperation for the Premier League? We got it all done very early. Not sure about Gunter but the rest, barring Mariappa who hasn't played, seem to be fitting in well.

4. What have you made of our summer transfer business? As others have said Lukaku is a good bit of business.

5. We've been seen as a yo-yo club in recent years, what are your thoughts on WBAFC as a club alongside its supporters? Positive or negative, we don't bite :D Similar to ourselves in that you're a well run club (Stewards are complete tw@ts though). The fans seem quite inoffensive to me, again quite similar to ourselves.

6. What are you expecting for the rest of the season and where do you think you will finish? A struggle but I think we'll just about manage to stay up. At least it'll be exciting.

7. What are you expecting from us for the rest of the season and where do you think we shall finish? Was surprised that so many tipped you for relegation. Solid team with good attacking options I think you'll be mid table.

8. What team is Brian McDermott most likely to put out? Unfortunately it looks like the very dodgy Alex McCarthy will be in goal which means we will have to have a strong defence to protect him. Would like to see a return to 442 with Le Fondre partnering Pog up front.

9. Are there any players in our side that you fear? and who should we fear in your side? Would have been Odemwingie if he hadn't unleashed his inner Bruce Lee the other day but with him out probably Lukaku and Shane. As for us, Pog is a threat if our midfield can support him more than they did on Sunday, McCleary looks good out on the wing with plenty of pace and if Guthrie is on top of his passing game he can create chances.

10. And finally, score predictions? McCarthy generally concedes 3 goals so if he's in I'd expect 3-1 to WBA.

Thanks for taking part, here's to an enjoyable game and I wish you all that are attending a very safe journey down to the Black Country.

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far?
I am slightly optimistic than a few of my fellow fans and I am happy with the start performances just need to get the results. Spurs game was just us showing that we haven't played for 25 days which was clear as we were never reached the speed we normally play at. It was always going to be an uphill battle and could have been made easier if Webb had balls.
2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far? Quite good (Liverpool result), bit surprised and bit annoyed you did well, expected you to be slower out of the blocks due to a new "manager" but it is early days.
3. You had a remarkable season last year, what have you made of your summer transfer business in preparation for the Premier League? I am happy with our signings and have added class, McCleary is the standout. My only worry is we never got a speedy LB, personally I would have gone and get one because we all knew Harte would get destroyed by a speedy winger like Lennon which was evident on Sunday.
4. What have you made of our summer transfer business?
Umm... All I can think of is Lukaku who is very good.
5. We've been seen as a yo-yo club in recent years, what are your thoughts on WBAFC as a club alongside its supporters? Positive or negative, we don't bite
I went up to the FA cup a few seasons ago and I personally enjoyed it obviously the result but the fans and stewards inside were very good. Outside shocking, I stayed behind and got players signatures and a few of your fans were giving mouth to our players because they didn't want to sign a stiker book, Oh the irony. Your stewards just stood there and let them, if I was older at the time, I think I might have stayed the night in Birmingham if you get me.
6. What are you expecting for the rest of the season and where do you think you will finish?
I predict us to get 14th; we have only played against one team who will be around the bottom half and we should have won that. We were impressive against Chelsea and were understandably rusty against a very strong spurs side. It is going to be hard and hopefully get three points on Saturday which we are more than capable to do but so is WBA.
7. What are you expecting from us for the rest of the season and where do you think we shall finish?
12th, A good team with a few standout players hopefully they won't perform this Saturday.
8. What team is Brian McDermott most likely to put out? Hopefully 4-4-2. This is what more I want.
McCarthy (Better be on the training pitch learning how to kick to a team mate), Gunter, Pearce, Gorkss, Marriappa/Cummings(It will be Harte), McCleary, Karacan, Guthrie, McAnuff/Kebe, Pog, Le Fondre.
9. Are there any players in our side that you fear? and who should we fear in your side?
Long. McCleary.
10. And finally, score predictions?
Would take a draw but we need a win. 2-1 Reading, Pearce and Le Fondre with the goals and Long penalty.

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far? - Mixed.
2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far? - I've been too depressed to watch MOTD so can't give an opinion
3. You had a remarkable season last year, what have you made of your summer transfer business in preperation for the Premier League? - The squad has improved but one or two additions may be required in January
4. What have you made of our summer transfer business? Not paid any attention
5. We've been seen as a yo-yo club in recent years, what are your thoughts on WBAFC as a club alongside its supporters? Positive or negative, we don't bite :D No negatives, other than the fact an image of Adrian Chiles appears in my head when I think of you.
6. What are you expecting for the rest of the season and where do you think you will finish?I'm expecting more coherant playing performances, some wins and to finish in the bottom 6, hopefully not relegated. January transfer window could change this view
7. What are you expecting from us for the rest of the season and where do you think we shall finish?Top half finish
8. What team is Brian McDermott most likely to put out?Hard to say now, I suspect radical changes to be made after the Spurs game
9. Are there any players in our side that you fear? and who should we fear in your side?Shane Long, He'll be well up for this. In our side, Jimmy Kebe if fit and Garath McCleary - Both play right wing, but if both are fit and playing on the two flanks it will be entertaining
10. And finally, score predictions? 2-2

sandman Unfortunately it looks like the very dodgy Alex McCarthy will be in goal.....McCarthy generally concedes 3 goals so if he's in I'd expect 3-1 to WBA.

OBSESSED.

I think that McCarthy should take out a restraining order on you.

Young 'keeper who has come through the academy, desperate to play, performed well when out on loan, rated highly enough to be involved with the national team set up and considered for selection for the GB Olympic Squad, but some tool off HNA doesn't rate him :!: Come on Brian, don't be selecting the very dodgy Alex McCarthy unless you want to generally concede 3 goals :!:
