That's how the world works though Ian.

Getting technology in for one form of decision breaks down the existing barrier and will give a foot in the door for other developments, it's just the way things work.

Additional technology would only come in though if it doesn't slow the game down. Football is run by TV money, if the game is elongated and becomes stop/start people wont watch and tv will lose interest. An instantaneous goal signal will work as it doesnt intrinsically change the game. Other changes would so would not be brought in, to my mind at least.

THere's still a clear line in the sand which hasn't been broken though. It's a nonsense argument in this case.
