Was thinking about this earlier. Deffo give him a clap, deserves it, I expect most people will still boo him though.

Brian McDermott's magic
And no Judas is he.
He didn't f*ck off like Pardew
Or f*cling Mark McGhee.

Who actually cares about Pardew? He's long gone and we've moved onwards and upwards.
I think booing him would be acknowledgement of him and being as smug as he is, he would see that as some form of credit. Applause would also offer the same.
If your going to give someone a hard time, it should be those so called 'great geordie fans' who are so fanatical that when they were struggling in the Championship a few years ago only 8,000 were turning up for home games.

I don't think i will be cheering or booing him. I wouldnt say ive ever hated him, but I disliked him alot for walking out on us (after getting us promoted to the second tier and reaching the play offs in our first season back there) to go to West Ham (who I dislike alot more). But to be fair to him, he did achieve promotion in his second season with them and take them to an FA Cup Final the next. In a way, its good to see an ex Reading manager doing well but lets hope we get some more revenge on him as we have done a few times before ;)

Parjudas falls into the same category as McGhee (Complete and utter oxf*rd) for me . He was great for Reading at the time, bar the oxf*rd up against Walsall and then jogging on to Sham while on rose inspection duty. A good manager, but still a twunt

Yeah he was so complimentary about us when he walked off out the club to suck off Trevor Brooking and Terry Brown you bunch of slags

FWIW, for me it's very much McDermott > Pardew > Coppell but I shan't be licking his arse by clapping him etc on Saturday

After a career that appeared to be heading the same way as MCghee's, fair play to the guy for taking his opportunity with a big club with big expectations, Newcastle were excellent last year. He also has to be commended for jamming the BBC switchboard with this golden moment you wont see in "Aunties Bloomers" on the BBC.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJiehceTvRs

Won't boo or clap.

Clapped Gylfi, but even that felt a bit weird. And I love him!

Maguire Pardew has always been very respectful toward the club, even when he copped the abuse. That's the difference between him and McGhee.

If I were there then i'd clap him. (well, i'd be drinking on the concourse but you know what i mean)

And indeed Rodgers who has never said a bad word about the club and passed up the gloating opportunity of a lifetime after the play off final, choosing instead to be respectful and dignified.

I don't particular like Pardew as a person but I won't be booing. (unless one of our players makes a mistake natch)

Ian Royal Long forgotten IMO. The stink stayed with West Ham.

I don't think there was any stink - true if I remember correctly the terms of Pardews contract said he could talk/move oon if a Premiership club wanted him but at the time despite relegation West Ham, were not in the financial mess that they are now Pardew, viewed them as a bigger club with better prospects and was going to be paid more money so he left. But lets face if you were doing a job and another company came along offering you more money and better prospects you'ed take it. that's why I've always found it some what hypocritical that football fans slag off and abuse a player/manager who has moved on because he wanted to betterhim self when they would of done exactly the same thing.

i don't think i can ever forgive Pardew. The club bent over backwards when he signed a new contract. He always wanted the clause that if a prem club came in for her he could talk to them.

As soon as West Ham, a championship club, came in for him he resigned because he wasn't allowed to speak to them. He shafted us, when we in the promotion positions and back him with the signings of Murray and Goater that summer.

Although he doesn't say anything bad against the club, he's still a tosser
