What a bunch of useless "Officials" - F__ing premier? pftt Alas that applies to us too

6 games in but I seriously have some big doubts about us now - albeit the rest of the teams around us cr%p too (thanku for Sky Sports Centre appp for that even if it means I had to see that second half misery twice)

We simply go to pieces if we let in a goal - and this lot we only Swansea. Can't be bothered with any tired and overused stereotypical references/ slang names.
Second best, going down, one point I s'pose, but no wins after six games??? Cant the season end now and put us back where belong and we can start winning again? please can someone put me out of my misery here?

Been back a while due to living in Swansea. The game as a whole wasn't bad in the end, our tactics seemed in the first half to just let them play and then get the ball hoof it up to Pog and get him score, which would have been the wrong tactics had McCarthy not been having the game of his life, saying that Swansea were poor in the final third. In the second half the goal had been coming and McCarthy had to be beaten at some point. We seemed at that point scared of pressing forward in fear of being caught on the break, Kebe in the lead up to the second goal was desperate for support but nobody wanted to come with him going forward and hence we lost the ball and conceded anyway. In Brian I trust however his first two subs today were obvious and had no impact on the game the third should have been done at 2-2 as I think we could of snatched a winner with HRK on the pitch.

As for the officials M Dean had a good game but was let down by a change of assistants who were inexperienced and unfortunately it showed.

No, I think this has more to do with Kebe trying to nutmeg someone within his own half of the pitch.

Both he and McAnuff seemed clever - though largely ineffective - against WBA, so I can understand trying Kebe at QPR, and I can understand going with Kebe until it's clear that he's ineffective. However, I don't understand HRK being our late boost off the bench. So far, it doesn't seem like McCleary's show vs Stoke and Chelsea was a fluke; he has surprising ball control along the line and creative ball movement. When are we going to see him again?

HRK was obviously a tactical choice. He's a left winger, McAnuff is the option to go into the middle and Tabb needed to come off. McCleary's a right winger, so either Kebe has to come off for him, or switch flanks. Just easier to go with HRK.

That game was calling out for two players: McCleary who could stretch the defence with his pace and makes defenders ask questions. We didn't really put much of pressure on their defenders as much as I would have liked. The second was Guthrie someone who will get on the ball and KEEP it! We just had no plan in the second half other than defend for our lives. Given too much ball time to Swansea so when we have the ball we need to either A) keep it or b) Make the first ball up to our strikers accurate and have some meaning to it. Guthrie would have been able to have done both.

Poor dislpay from the fans today. First away of the season and was dissapointed with our support. Maybe i am alone but i expected more.

Well, I've finally found something more pathetic than our utter capitualtion and all round dire performance on the pitch today - Reading fans generally.

The clown next to me managed to get both of his moronic anti-welsh chants out of his system within 30 seconds of kick off and generally what little noise generated around me seemed to be directed entirely at the disinterested opposition fans rather than getting behind our team who had almost accidentally stumbled into a 2 goal lead. I'd loved to have seen some of these little punks open their gobs outside the ground instead, they'd have got an absolute and well deserved shooing. From the comfort of the bus back in to the town afterwards there were more dregs of society banging the windows and singing yet more embarassing abuse, none of it remotely funny or original. And I have been made aware that some of those who took the train back this evening hardly covered themselves in glory either.

Couldn't agree any more! Absolute dreadful! I couldn't stand because people behind me are sat down when I did stand up I felt like I was on my own as I was the only one doing it near me. I think there needs to be a way where we could put people who don't want to stand in one section and standers in another.

Hahaha, completely agree. Where were you sitting? I had a bloke behind me that sounded just like that. He was singing some boring anti-welsh shite on his own right at the start, for what seemed like ages. Then throughout the game he was shouting stuff that he just directed at Swansea players and fans, but everytime the insult had the word "welsh" in it. E.g. "You f*cking welsh c*nts". LOL

I was a bit disappointed with our fans in general also, pretty much the definition of "you only sing when your winning", but then again, there was nothing to sing about up until Pog's goal. It was a miracle that we were 2-0 up at half time. Swansea will come away thinking they should have won easily, and they are right. But at the same time you cant surrender a two goal lead (which we didnt even deserve to have) against fellow relagation candidates and expect to stay up. I have been convincing myself that when we are on our game we are good enough to stay up and that still applies, but after today I am now having serious doubts. We had absolutely no control in midfield and the all round way we playing football was dire. Not only are we really bad at keeping the ball, we dont seem to try very hard to either. Just hoofing it up to the forwards all the time, and expecting them to win everything in the air, its getting old now and doesnt say much about our team to oppsoition fans. At least Swansea fans can say they still play decent football, based on this evidence, we do not. All the substitutes were brought on far too late as well, I think BMcD should take the blame for this one.

The only positives, we got a point we did not merit and McCarthy played an absolute blinder, kept us in the game and made at least two world class saves from what I could see.

The atmosphere was dire but probably deservedly so. The only chant of note was for Alex McCarthy and that was primarily due to somehow keeping us in the match. Two shots on goal, two goals is excellent economy and strike rate but it was like watching a light bulb being switched off out there for us today.

Again an airing of The Big Bad Wolf chant and that about sums up this match. Painful to watch us blow the two goal lead but it was like watching someone trying to bang a cork on a levée break, then look around in blind panic when that never worked.
