Motorbikes at the Madejski

by EastStander » 26 Oct 2012 15:06

I am new to motorbikes and will start riding to games this season.

I have a couple of questions hopefully someone on here can answer for me.

Can I ride up and park outside the stadium hassle free with no charge?

Is it safe to leave my helmet attached to the bike or can I take it into the stadium?

Thank you in advance.

I've seen quite a few helmets in the ground this season, so presumably you'll be ok

Yes it's free. You probably know the motorbike/cycle area is almost opposite the Megastore.

I once had a light nicked from my cycle, but no problems as yet with helmet locked onto motorbike. You can take it in if you want.

It's free. I used to ride mine up as it was easy to get around the traffic in and out. The only downside was the occasional squeeze when some bikers blocked you in, but otherwise can't fault it.

I was hoping that this was going to be the new speedway in Reading thread

Think you can forget that ever returning, believe the council have decided to put the old site up for sale and while they would consider a bid that included a new speedway track the liklihood is it'll end up being turned into more empty offices.

If bikes are free to park then they definitely should be banned for using car parking spaces.

I took my new bike for the first time on Saturday. Was able to park near the megastore and got away quite quickly after the game and I took my helmet* into the ground. You're held the same as all traffic until most of the pedestrians have gone but then, of course, you can dodge the traffic when you're on your way.

Damn near (quite literally) froze my nuts off on the ride home, though, as somehow rainwater got into my trousers.

My dick was the size of a beach ball inflate valve by the time I got home.
