SPECULATION - Marouane Chamakh

by urz13 » 05 May 2012 09:30

Webber has said he wants to give Park and Chamakh opportunities to play next season, through loan or by selling them. Chamakh is only 28, and a premiership standard player. WCBAP but perhaps we could try and get him on loan? He has a point to prove and he can't do that whilst at Arsenal...

Seems one that might just unsettle the dressing room if the papers are to be believed at all

I'd rather use Le Fondre.

I'd prefer Park if it's a choice between the two.

Don't really understand the original post, but if Marouane Chamakh is nowhere near good enough for the Premiership playing for Arsenal how on earth is he going to be good enough playing for us?

if he cant score with the supply arsenal have, why would he be good enough for us? and besides he would unsettle the dressing room coz he would be on way more than everyone else.

When has ever looked like a good enough player for the Premiership? He might cope in the Championship or France but has fallen well short at Arsenal, despite the wonderful players he has around him.

Weird thing is, I think Chamakh is a great player, so surprised it hasn't worked out for him. Reading would do very well to sign him but WCBAP.

His first 1,226 Minutes in the premiership

he got 7 goals and 2 assists

a goal every 175 minutes

he started the next 2 games and was then switched to being a sub

This season he has had 180 Premiership minutes and got 1 goal

He has not exactly "been in favour" at Arsenal but is still averaging a goal every 253 minutes in the Premiership

13,692 Minutes for 36 Goals = 1 Goal every 380 Minutes JASON ROBERTS
02,026 Minutes for 08 Goals = 1 Goal every 253 Minutes MAROUANE CHAMAKH

I wouldn't mind either of these players. Although not proven players at Arsenal, they certainly will add something to our squad providing they got a run in the team which im pretty sure would happen.

Chamakh - Was never going to threaten RVP's place in the team and has therefore never really got a run in the Arsenal side.

Park - Again the same probably applies to him but I do believe he can play on the wings in an attacking role as well as down the centre. Only really been a carling cup player and can't imagine the situation getting any better for him with Podolski joining.

Park would excite me more though was very good for South Korea in the world cup from what I recall!

Just said he is considering leaving and would prefer to stay in England if he could - SSN

Could be a good player for us and think he would be relatively cheap seeing as Arsenal got him on a free. Certainly would be a lot better than what we currently have via Pog if we got him hitting form.

Discussed Mr Chamakh with my mate who's an Arsenal season ticket holder after last week's debacle. Both agreed that Mr Chamakh's two goals said more for our defending ineptitude at that moment in time then any attacking prowess on his part. This guy has consistently misfired since he came over the Channel, even on a free most Arsenal fans feel like they were done.
