Born 'n Bred Royal All of you berating Feds kindly f*ck off, we wouldn't even be in this league if it wasn't for him last season.

Maybe if McCarthy had played all last season we would have won the Championship earlier and by a bigger margin?

Or that if McCarthy had kept his place for the Play-Off Final we' have been in the Premier League a year earlier?

Absolutely no way of knowing - so these two statements are just as ridiculous and indefensible as yours is.

Cripple Creek Maybe we should rename this thread confiTennce in Feds because if he plays the opposition might score ten. Geddit?

Or we could just go ahead and call it ''The bad puns thread'' and you and Simon's Church can sponsor it.

So he single-handedly won us the league last season?

That's not what I said at all - all I was saying is that in several games he kept us in either a winning position or like against Bristol City away last season we could have been six nil down but thanks to some fine saves we won the match 3-2 out of nowhere really.

We're really lucky to have two class keepers in the side, Feds needs a run of matches and who knows if he performs McCarthy may never come back (which is what happened last season!)

I think that was more to down with Bristol City being shite.

If McCarthy never comes back, and leaves as a result, it will be the biggest crime this club has ever committed.

Get fecked. you're like a fecking journalist, taking fragments of a sentence in isolation while trying to make a point. i've been watching rfc since i was 10 (1987) and have hundreds of programs. i've always attended games when i can (i live 75 miles away too), but can't get tickets at my convenience now we're in the premiership. so shut your f ucking mouth you 'human paraquot'

No offence, but talking about the relative merits of two players when you haven't seen one of them play a competitive game for about two years makes you sound like a total cock. Especially when said player is at a young age of big development and you also haven't seen how badly the other player has done this season.

It doesn't matter how many games you've seen in the past. The past has little relevance to now.

And before anyone gets smart, I've seen 7 this season, about 20 last season and about 30 the season before.

Just one - ball headed straight to him in the last ten minutes.

Yee har!

Feds played a blinder and only had one header straight at him.

And we kept a clean sheet!

Against a sh:t team there for the taking coming here only looking for a nil nil.

Phew. And I thought we were in trouble.

Perhaps you should wind your neck in and stop having a pop at supporters with a different point of view then.

You said the club didn't need support like that, well they need supporters who are willing and able to turn up to keep the club going over those that want to preach about how to be a supporter from the comfort of their sofa.

So, first clean sheet of the season comes with Federici in goal

Two weeks ago you gimplords slagged off Gorkss and said he should be dropped . Result, great performance and class goal.

This week it was all "oooh nooo, we're gonna lose 3-0 coz Feds is in goal" and lo and behold we dont' concede any.

How many times must this happen before you collectively realise you're a bunch of reactionary idiots who have no idea what they're talking about?

The only save Federici had to make was a weak header straight at him. Even in calamitous form he wouldn't have conceeded a goal from that effort. Although if Holt had have put a decent header in it probably would have been a goal, and you'd expect him to seeing as Gorkss ran away from him to the near post to pick up someone Morrison already had covered, leaving Holt effectively a free header with Shorey was on the far side of him and with little chance of winning the ball. Far from Gorkss' only error.

So Federici had little to do with the clean sheet and Gorkss still played badly.

That's odd, because one of the (many) criticisms of Federici you lot come up with is that he doesn't organise the defence well enough. The implication being that you can't judge a keeper's performance just on the physical saves he makes, but that he's partially responsible for opponents being allowed to shoot in the first place. By this logic the fact that Norwich didn't get a sniff was - partially - due to Federici's organisation of said defence.

And I was talking about Gorkss at QPR. But if you like, since he got his own thread with the special needs club slagging him off he's notched a goal one week and a clean sheet the next.

Please slag off Jason Roberts this week - he needs a goal.

Of course Lord Mags is posting this in hindsight. Takes a rounded opinion to post before the event.

Completely wrong. If you looked at my posts you'd see me LOLing at people slagging off Federici last week prior to his inclusion v. Norwich.

It's just retarded that people can conjure up so much bile towards a man who was clearly too good for the Championship last season and who played a vital role in us winning the league.
