Just to be clear (to one of our many resident fcuk wits) I don't think Guthrie has done anything to justify starting or being on the bench as, on evidence so far, the main alternative he offers is an increased risk of defeat.............................possibly a stupid point to a Grade "A" twat like yourself, who is in need of a decent mirror to re-evaluate the size of his own bum hole.

Just a stupid point to anyone, really. Regardless of how well they did at school in Twat Studies, or how large thier anus is.

Hoop Blah The option of throwing the extra man into midfield to shore things up is a slightly different scenario and you're right, basically should mean we hold onto the ball and make it more difficult to break us down just by virtue of having the extra body in way.

That's the scenario I was giving, so why disagree with me? All this bullshit about "Guthrie will actually lose us possesion because he isn't a ball-winner and will only be passing to morons" is utterly irelevant and convoluted. It's an extra midfielder in midfield, with the bonus of the best pass-completion rate in the team. But blah blah blah NO. Three men is one man more than two men. Any times tables people require help with as well?

EP, if you want to read back it was snowball disagreeing with you.

The only issue I have with having the extra player so deep in midfield is that I agree with Coppell in his opinion that the ball follows the volume of players. In other words, sticking an extra man deeper means we might have a bit more of the ball, but we'll possibly end up with it deeper and nearer our goal more often. As and when we eventual lose the ball we might be losing it in more dangerous places.

I totally agree that McDermott should've had, and used, the option of a midfielder to come on and pack the midfield to make it harder to break us down when defending the leads we've lost.

No biggie, but I was pulling you up on this:

Hoop Blah
It might be a bit complex for you, but it is true.

Which was aimed at my dismissal of Snowballs convoluted Possesion Assessment Proposal Strategy Document Report Strategy 2012.

My point being, SHHHHH more bods in midfield = more possesion in midfield. It doesn't need to get anymore fancy than that.

But we agree, so we can get off with each other now if you like.

My comment was aimed at yours thinking it was a reply to my post not snowballs (seeing as it followed mine I guess).

You're far too high maintenance for my liking, try TSW as he seems a bit more desperate!

I can't be bothered to read the last 15 pages. Can someone summarise: Is Guthrie injured? Is McD getting the push? Why is the Milka cow lilac?

TIA.

Only seven results from 11 is unacceptable at this level

Stop making out that draws are the same as wins.

Well, that massive bum hole of yours is looking bigger by the day ............................and I'm guessing the same applies to Guthrie's unless today's performance saw you finally remove your head from it's favourite resting place.

draw=/=win
but
draw = result

loss also = result. But it's all about context and prior to Everton 6 "results" out of 10 is still very definitely hopeless relegation form. So there wasn't a great deal of anything to be celebrating about it.
