namroyal Win, lose or draw.... Premier League or relegation, I can't think of anyone I'd rather have in charge of my team. I like the fact that our players are on the whole grounded, hard working individuals on and off the pitch. We are one of the most professional clubs in the country in my opinion and I'd take that over and above finishing in the top 6 of the BPL.

I also like having a go using the limited resources we have. Let's see what we can do. I have no expectation - only hope that we can turn things around. I'd rather be a Reading fan than a QPR fan right now - with all the money they've spent. In fact, I'd rather be a Reading fan than any other fan right now.

In Brian we trust.

Woolly68 Come on Anton grow some balls, make that change, second from bottom and unless we win our 3 away games before Xmas we will be well adrift and no one will want to come to the club.

Thanks Brian its been good but it's a result business, as you said yesterday.

I'm sorry, but just oxf*rd off! oxf*rd off!

Only one vote really counts and that's the one from the guy who owns 51% of the club. Wonder what he's thinking tonight?!

If he has any sense whatsoever he will realise this team just isn't good enough & no change of manager will rectify that

You don't survive in the PL if you don't spend money. Anton: if you want a PL club you need to spend PL money to get one. No sacking manager after manager trying to find a shortcut.

TBF he only paid £25m for a well run championship club. Getting promoted was an unforeseen bonus.

floyd__streete Who comes in and does better then? I want to hear the nay-sayers alternative suggestions.

McD has had a poor season and has signed poorly last summer.....but who else is going to get more from such a (comparatively) weak squad. I'd like to think that Brian deserves a chance to rebuild in the Championship last season, just as Coppell had one season following relegation. Not sure that AZ would feel the same way, mind.

Still no reason to relinquish our Premiership status so feabily.

And when we go down, which cannot be doubted now, this belief we will bounce straight back is nothing but blind optimism. Many teams have spent far more cash in the Chump than we would in the Prem and have so far failed. Doing it the Reading way is no gurantee we will bounce back.

I'm not saying it's right but can't see them changing their policy can you?!

On that note goodnight all. Have spent far too much time on here the last few weeks - going on a detox!

Unfortunately that is nail and head.

Who is to shoulder responsibility for the mess, well that's a different conversation, but you are rit.

We have a team full of griefs but they are clearly not good enough.

I like Tabb's attitude, he gives his all, and you can't ask more than that, but someone pointed out he's played more games in a row in the PL, than in the Championship.

That is a typical example, not the only player responsible for the mess.

as usual when apportioning blame it will fall pretty equally on those involved.

AZ for not putting enough money in the kitty(but who can blame him and his investors. throwing silly money at the squad is not how you grow a football business, its how you consistently lose your money.)
Brian for not signing good enough players, and not intergrating them well enough, and for not being able to find a solution within our squad to get results(but then with the money he had, im not sure if all of that is even possible)
the players-old ones for not adapting to the different pressures of the prem and of being incapable opf raising their games, new ones for not intergrating with thesquad, some of them seemingly having an attitude problem to boot(but you cant blame them for their own quality defficiency, and id probably hacve an attitude problem in this situation too)

so as usual, the blame game is pretty pointless achieves nothing
