maffff
RFCSPACE Regardless of what word I use, that wasn't really my point. We aren't going to win.

Unless we win.

Or draw.

Very positive from Saturday but then again worried about defence. :(

Either 3 - 2 Reading or 2 - 0 Southampton.

Quite impressed with myself I've made it to 4 away games already this season when I could only afford 2 last year :D

We will be two nil up at half time only to lose three to two in the ninety third minute.

We will then experience forum meltdown, the likes of which we have not seen for four years or so.

Southampton have imporved and we have got worse since last season. They have had better results than us so their confidence will be a lot higher. I think we will lose this all important game and once again confirm we are doing nothing more than making up the numbers this season. going for a 3-1 to saints scoreline.

If we lose this one, then sadly, Brian's position becomes untenable.

If we play like we did vs Aston Villa:

Southampton 3-1 Reading

If we play like we did vs Man Utd:

Southampton 2-4 Reading

But I'm confident we'll produce the latter.

Better results than us?? You've clearly forgotten to bother looking at the facts involved in this statement.

* Saints currently have 3 more points than us.
* They've played one more game than us.
* They've lost more games than us.
* They've been fully tonked a couple of times.
* Their result of note came against Newcastle. Ours against Everton.

I'd say, their results and confidence are at a very similar level to ours - except they're scared shitless of us after last season.

Ja. They have been torrid at the back this season, but they are starting to work it out.

Both teams who can score, and concede for fun, there can be only one result... 0-0

They beat QPR away-we drew there
They beat Newcastle 2-0, we drew 2-2
They lost at home to Man Utd,we lost at home to Man Utd (both by one goal)
They lost at Liverpool 1-0, we lost at Liverpool 1-0.
They lost at home to Wigan, we lost away at Wigan.
Not a lot different but they seem to be edging it so far.

This will be my 4th ... West Brom .. 1-0; Liverpool ... 1-0; QPR 1-1 ....

Away from home I haven't seen goals ... 1-0 Saints.
Last week on this forum I said 4-3 Man U, 80-1 and I didnt put a £10 on it ...

floyd__streete Let's be honest, we mugged them with the 3-1 last season. So the reverse this time, 3-1 Saints which undermines both sides defensive frailties. Our latest 'must win' loss en route to relegation.

Caskeys Lovechild except they're scared shitless of us after last season.

Southampton will have no fear of us other than the fear of losing another must win game. In short the exact same as us.

2 poor sides somehow conjure a 3-3 footballing festival. And Reading never lose their first game after a Royal pregnancy announcement.
