Big Ern Thing is, in South American their culture encourages cheating to win and is considered a positive trait with those who do to be admired as they are considered clever. As much as us Brits think it is "simply not cricket sir," that is how he was brought up and nothing will change him.

And for that he is totally suited to the people of Liverpool - they do love a proper Scally.

Whereas the people of Reading put Alf in the stocks last week and pelted him with mouldy fruit following his deliberate hand ball?
Regrettably we live in a cheating (so called professional) world with football, cricket, cycling and rugby plus any number of other sports being full of cheats both British and foreign.
Thank goodness for snooker and golf, two rare sports where the professionals don't cheat.

10539.4 Miles Away I can't stand Suarez myself, think he's a nasty cheating scumbag but having just watched this on youtube I don't think that he has done anything different to any other striker in the world this time. In fact, after he handballs it (which does not look at all deliberate unless he has the reflexs of a cat) his body language changes as if he expects to be pulled up for the handball and just hits the ball in anyway. He doesn't wheel away in celebration claiming the goal at all. Yep, he does the wrist kiss thing but isn't that a trademark celebration these days. Do you expect him to chase after the ref to correct him after he's awarded the goal?
If you are going to get het up about Suarez then do it for the million other things he's done but I don't think this is one we can pin on him.
