Stuka I was out with friends in New Cross, I stopped looking at my phone when we were 2 goals down. Does that count as 'leaving early'? In a modern way I think it does, and I apologise for my fickle support.

rob the royal Can we also get rid of all the fans who only woke up and starting supporting the team after 80 minutes?
Then we'll have a home attendance in the region of zero next game.

Obviously coming from someone who left early...

Maguire Yeah the North Stand sang you don't know what you're doing at McDermott when he brought ALF on. Seriously, you people are absolute dickheads. Very you didn't boo the three points.
Also "oxf*rd of back to Russia you useless PCUNT" was priceless.

Whoever sings these idiotic things are probably the very same people who left early. Makes me sick that people would sing stuff like that - especially considering the quality of opposition we were up against and that we always look far better when ALF is brought on.

Rusty royal The trouble is that they block my view by standing on the stairs. If you want to go early then go early, not gain a better view than those very happy to stay to the end. There was a whole family that left just before Kebe scored and came scurrying back when they heard the cheerThey were really barrated by the loyal fans sat around them

So you'll agree that everyone has their own quite valid reasons for their actions then?
Yes, I'm sure they do. Doesn't mean I'd understand them though. But well done on your complete failure to make a good point.

I'm struggling with this. What is your need to understand why people leave early? except that they have their own particular reasons, which really aren't your concern - unless (in my case) you're interested in my domestic situation? Listen I could use a baby sitter.
ftr I understand why you don't even go, you have a low paying job and can't be arsed. Fair enough.

RFCUK My stream went a bit dodgy after the second goal, so I just kept Reading Player on and listened to it. As soon as I heard leaves goal, stream back on. In my six years as a STH before moving up to Manc, I might have left early at Bristol Rovers - school night and horrible score - but otherwise I can't recall going before 90 minutes, though I may have gone a few times during extra time when we've been losing by 2+ goals.

Exactly! All these people saying "it doesn't effect you if somebody chooses to leave early" seem to ignore that, it's even worse if they block your view twice by coming back in.
I bet those same people blocking my view would moan if I stood in front of them all match.
If people actually move at a normal pace it's not so bad.

Blue Jay Having seen the large number of "fans" who decided after 80 minutes it was time to leave and stop supporting the team, could I just say "don't bother coming back"!
We really need supporters who follow the team through thick and thin and not people who need to get out of the car park or an early place in the bus queue. Over the years matches like this stick in the memory. If you can't be bothered to stay and support...F u c k right off!
