Alexander Litvinenko Yep - my nightmare scenario is the game happening but not being able to get to it because of snow further south and through the Midlands.

I think you're worrying over nothing. It will be cold, the roads will be a bit oily but I think it will be business as usual to be honest.

(Although I'm also trying not to panic about it too).

I'd like to think due to the fact the vast majority of the journey is motorway that they will be sufficiently gritted by then - considering they've known this weather has been coming for a good week or so. Despite that, anything can happen, snow could be worse than anticipated.

royalexile How deep is it though? Can you post updates for us. Travelling up at 9 in the morning tomorrow.

Outside my house right now, I'm on the outskirts of Darlington.

Snowed for a good few hours and hasn't laid much, although if it comes down tonight it will.

Some suspicious looking people were in that black car down the road and they probably saw the flash go off, I didnt see em till afterwards.

If I get my head kicked in its on you ;)

Anyone know what the teams travel plan is/was?

So far Bristol Southampton and Cardiff airports all closed, Heathrow won't be far behind. So it may not matter what the weather is up North.

In Newcastle

In Durham

In Northumbria

Looking at these live webcams,it doesn't even look like Newcastle has got snow but nearby Durham they do but not a lot. If people want to see what it's actually like live in Newcastle just search through webcams in Newcastle online.

Its not in and around newcastle im worried about, its getting out of the hampshire/berkshire area. So much snow at the moment I cant even get out the drive, in a way hoping the game is postponed now. Shame as it's a good time to play them

Cannot believe it. Reading's team on their way now by coach as their plane has been cancelled from Heathrow.

Great preparation lads. Why did you not fly up yesterday having seen the weather reports?

On the train, just passed Doncaster and weather is fine here, hardly any snow and just a massively grey overcast day.

It would have to get really really bad for the motorways to close, most councils give them priority gritting. That means if you can get to a motorway you should get there OK but it could take you some time if you can only do 50-60mph.

At Durham now. Very bright up here, light cloud, no snow at all. Almost sunny in fact.
