Lose at home to Villa and we are down...

by Forest Gump » 02 Mar 2013 16:54

,,, to me this seems blindingly obvious but I am sure that the Club will put a positive spin whatever the result.
What do the rest of you think? Which will be the pivotal match?

If Guthrie doesn't start again, we're down.

I think this post makes a valid point. if we loose it will show we cannot beat those around us, and thats the key. When we had our purple patch there was much added confidence as we were going to face our relegation rivals at home. and this would ultimately save us. Unfortunately, against Wigan things didnlt pan out that way and the manner of the defeat was all the more demoralising.

I don't wish to alarm you all......but I am going to the Villa game......I haven't seen us win since 2011......I was also there v Fulham in 2008 when we really needed a win.........

Practically we've been down since McDermott returned to poor management against Stoke. Mathmatically we aren't down for weeks yet.

This post hits the nail on the head.

No way back if we lose to another team around us at home with away games against Utd and Arsenal coming up. There's only so many late Le Fondre goals that can save us. In terms of possession and chances we have generally been the second best team in every game I've watched this season... (apart from Sunderland at home).

I'm actually unbeaten this season, but I just can't be oxf*rd to waste my money on this shite when I can watch it for free from home. So I'll save and just go more next year instead when we're not playing at a level that demonstrates our incompetence.

Then again I think I was at that Fulham game too. Plus all our PO Final appearances and both league defeats in 06/07.

To be honest, had a gut feeling 1st game of the season, the way we let Stoke have the bulk of the play that we were in for a fight for survival, I don't give a shite about you positivity twats, we aint good enough this season, only glimmer of hope , we might be able financially ???? put a squad together to get us back up, if Anton wants us too. Season finished imo against Wigan last Saturday. Signing off till next August.

Once Guthrie comes back we'll be fine.

Villa will be well up for this. Unless they hand it to us on a plate, I can't see us getting anything, nor the following two fixtures. Bottom by April.

My son has a perfect 5/5 wins this season. In fact he's only ever seen Reading win. Unfortunately we couldn't make the last home game as we were
in Ireland. I have tickets for the Villa game and obvs expect us to make it 6/6
