Perspective! Last year Southampton and West Ham would have been the best league teams we faced. It would have been no great surprise or shame on us if we'd have lost to those teams with this squad. These teams, well Southampton, now pose the minimum standard of the opposition we face, so why I and so many others are demanding so much more is beyond me. I'm past whinging now and accepting of the fact that every team we'll come up against will have two or three players capable of hurting us.

That isn't doing anything for me. Great we got a tad lucky and won promotion last season, but it was still the same backs against the wall football, and I'm sick of it. If Brian stays, so does the system he loves so much; and without the luck we got last time around, it's a scrap for 6th if at all. Loads needs to change if we're going to recover from a relegation and then kick on next season. Glass is very much half empty tonight. This season can bore off.

I quite agree, they can indeed. I assume you are also hardened to this? Strangely I'd still take 3rd and 4th tier football over a stadium full of chavvy kids stuffing their faces with hotdogs and coke, occasionally belittling their 'heroes'. The Madejski is a terrible venue, such is our recent successes.

Bang on mate, the most humiliating thing for me, we haven't done anything that a Prem club does, we just haven't really participated in many matches, we've soaked up lots of pressure, granted I've seen only 10 games and 1 at Anfield, but we have been so crap. The only win I've seen was against West Ham, we only sraped the win coz Vaz te missed from 2yds. We have thrown it all down the drain.
Even if Reading get some points and are in with a chance, I won't be wasting my money for the rest of season. Hoping we do something useful when parachute payments kick in, I'll take being a yo-yo club, if this season is a learning curve great, but I,ve seen bigger and better clubs getting into trouble.
