Reported Reading target Jasmin Kurtic could leave Palermo on a permanent deal in the summer, according to the Serie A club's chairman Maurizio Zamparini.
The Slovenia international midfielder, who is also thought to be on the radar of Italian club Torino, is contracted at Palermo until June 2015.
But Zamparini has said the 24-year-old could be on his way out of the relegation-threatened side in the summer after attracting interest from clubs abroad.
However, the chairman says Kurtic will not be leaving on loan if he does part ways with the Rosanero.
He told Tuttosport: "A Kurtic transfer is something that could happen in the summer. But we don't want to loan him, we will only say yes to a permanent transfer.
"This guy is also wanted in different countries, where they don't buy players in pieces like they do in Italy."
Asked about Torino's reported interest in the midfielder, Zamparini added: "President Urbano Cairo is my good friend and we can talk about everything.
"In Kurtic's case there is actually only question, about his transfer fee."
Me neither.
