Kit is holding us back

by paddy20 » 23 Apr 2013 09:18

I think a change of kit is all we need. We have tried a change of ownership, a change of manager but I think we have missed the point. Its embarrassing to walk outside with a hooped shirt. If you are overweight it makes you look fatter, the hoops are so de-rigeur. Lets have a new shirt thats fashionable and you can wear out and feel as though you belong to the 21st century. This will see a massive increase in shirt sales, people across the world will be desperate for the new fashion icon. The funds will be ploughed into buying young up and coming stars who will be attracted to the club by the shirt. In two years we will be qualifying for champions league. Cant understand why no-one has thought about it before

Fat person outside in a football shirt is making a particular fashion statement anyway, no matter how de-rigeur hoops are. But otherwise I agree.

I would rather the club only sold kids sizes.
Grown men, fat or otherwise in replica shirts are an embarrassment

actually proven that horizontal stripes, or "hoops" make you look thinner

Qi said so

the only important aspect of the kit is collars.

collars = promotion

Next year we should play in our pants and vests.

How hard - watch it - would we look then in the replica kit?

We should play naked as a way of distracting the opposition. On a completely unrelated note, we should re-sign Manset.

What a stupid thread.

How on earth is the kit going to change things???

Clearly we need to change the size of the match day programme by one inch lengthwise --> more fitted in per page --> more info for fans --> more informed and passionate fans --> better atmosphere and bigger gate --> more money, more success. Will win champions league.

Personally I swear by a pic of SJM pinned to the inside of the front door which I pat on the way to matches.
If that caught on we will be back in the Prem..and in Europe..in no time.
A friend says that it only works if you place a photo of Cilla next to it.

Re-brand the hoops as Breton stripes and we might be on to something, darlz.

In fact, they are actually Go Faster Stripes, and the decision to cut down to a measly 2 hoops has been the key catalyst in our relegation this season. Ever wondered why we struggled to get to loose balls, chase down the perfectly placed long passes, and got run ragged all over the pitch? Needs more stripes.

Makes you wonder what QPR have been doing wrong.
