sandman10539.4 Miles Away And of course Shaka's 'AWAAAAAAAYYYYYYY'
Can't remember Shaka doing that but do remember Simon Sheppard screaming it in sheer terror everytime the opposition crossed the halfway. Shaka's real signature was signalling the score when the fans asked him what it was and his stay calm signal to the defenders when he caught the ball.
Jennings of Caversham
"Shaka, I am a Reading supporter and have to say that quite possibly you were our greatest ever keeper. .... Anyway, the question I have for you is this, what was the secret behind you shouting 'away' at every corner'?"
Shaka (3:59 PM)
Jennings, all I can say is to be that consitent with my shouts of "away" took years of practice! Hahaha!! Thanks for the nice comments tho...

Terminal Boardom Shaka has to be one of the nicest people ever to play for the club. Ark Royal and I had a great chat with him at a cricket match after the play off final defeat. Top bloke all round. Kevin Bremner was also one who was incredibly approachable and down to earth. How times change.

Was beginning to really doubt my memory there but fortunately found this to back me up!

Maguire Nicky Shorey shaping to play a ball down the line only to cut in on his left foot, leaving the oppo jumping into thin air.
Often followed by carrying the ball forward ten yards and flicking it out to the wing with the outside of his left boot.
