Went for Alf because despite being average, he was solely responsible for the only good part of our season. Would have probably gone for Mariappa otherwise.

Because on the premise that kids and (non-HNA) women only vote for players they've heard of, and that they're most likely to have heard of players who score last-minute goals and win Player of the Month awards, ALF is a shoe-in.

All of those have had good patches which have made them stand out (much the like the club). I voted for McCarthy as the brightest star when the spotlight was on him.





Plus he's a fellow member of the goalkeeper's union.
